it's only going to get worse from here. The bill that comes out of conference will most likely swell to over 900 billion as pet projects get stuffed into the Porkulus.

Orwell is alive and well or, well Orwell is alive and
well......sick, or Orwell was really writing about
what he was sick of.

Oh well, Orwell.

Ezra Taft Benson, Dwight Eisenhower's Secretary
of Agriculture, the first man the US Press predicted
to be outed from the administration given his
staunch anti-communist and severe anti-socialist
policies stated the agenda of what he called the
"socialist-communist conspiracy:"

“I have talked face to face with the godless
communist leaders. It may surprise you to learn
that I was host to Mr. Kruschev for a half day
when he visited the United States, not that I’m
proud of it. I opposed his coming then, and I still
feel it was a mistake to welcome this atheistic
murderer as a state visitor. But, according to
President Eisenhower, Kruschev had expressed a
desire to learn something of American Agriculture
— and after seeing Russian agriculture I can
understand why. As we talked face to face, he
indicated that my grandchildren would live under
communism. After assuring him that I expected to
do all in my power to assure that his and all other
grandchildren will live under freedom he arrogantly
declared in substance:

“ ‘You Americans are so gullible. No, you
won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll
keep feeding you small doses of socialism until
you’ll finally wake up and find you already have
communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll
so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like
overripe fruit into our hands.’

“And they’re ahead of schedule in their devilish
scheme.” (Ezra Taft Benson “Our Immediate
Responsibility.” Devotional Address at Brigham
Young University. circa 1968.”)

It's easy to be a farmer when a pencil is your
plow and you are a thousand miles from the
nearest corn field."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

Orwell may be dead but he knew his bones.

The stained glass window to the left is full
of symbolism:

Examination of the window shows their coat
of arms 'a wolf in sheep's clothing', which
symbolizes that they must deceive in order
to attain their goals, presented openly it
would be rejected by too many to overcome.

There is a turtle depicted.
Whereas Communists wanted to establish socialism
quickly through violence and revolution, the Fabians
preferred to do it slowly through propaganda and
legislation. (and court proceedings including activist
judges) The word socialism was not to be used.
(note the Fabians were equally well received by
Hitler's fascist/socialist regime and the
Lenin/Stalinist communist state.)

Instead, they would speak of benefits for the
people such as welfare, medical care, higher
wages, and better working conditions.
(yes, I knew you could spell democrat)

In this way, they planned to accomplish their
objective without bloodshed and even without
serious opposition. They scorned the Communists,
not because they disliked their goals, but because
they disagreed with their methods. To emphasize
the importance of gradualism, they adopted the
turtle as the symbol of their movement.

Dear love, could'st thou and I with fate conspire
To grasp this sorry scheme of things entire,
Would we not shatter it to bits, and then
Remould it nearer to the heart's desire!

At the top of the glass are the words; "remould it
(the world) nearer to the hearts desire." That is
lifted from the Rubbiyat of Omar Khayam and shows
two men with hammers pounding upon the Earth.
(George Bernard Shaw and Sidney Webb)

Lower in the glass appear the words on a shield;
"Pray devoutly, hammer stoutly." (prayers are to
be to the learning of mankind, the socialist god)

Across the bottom, the masses kneel in worship of
a stack of books advocating the theories of
socialism.

Thumbing his nose at the docile masses is H.G.
Wells who, after quitting the Fabians, denounced
them as "the new Machiavellians."

How right you are.

Gator's two trillion (and counting) financial plan.

Liar, he knows it will need more and more money.

The banks didn't borrow at the Fed’s target rate for
overnight funds which is as low as zero percent to lend,
banks have instead put a surplus of $793 billion of cash
at the central bank itself. (now the central bank can
put that cash in any central bank in the world it cares
to and grow or shrink the viability of whatever country
to which it so cares.)

The DOW was impressed with his announcement.

Tiny Timmy has no business whatsoever being the
Secretary of the Treasury, a position that is supposed
to guard the interests of the American people, because
he is nothing but an errant boy for the privately owned
Federal Reserve system which is nothing but an
international money cartel.

Find interesting running commentary on the markets here.

I have never in my long life seen anyone as deeply in
over his head as Gaither.

He doesn't even pay his taxes unless he takes the
government post.

BTW, fyi, since he worked for the IMF, he didn't legally
have to pay taxes unless he wanted to. You see by
international treaty no single country can prosecute
IMF employees unless the IMF board agrees to allow it.

Some have been accused of some very sleazy activity,
including drug and gun running among other things and
never prosecuted.

Talk about 'above the law.' Can't wait for some media
figure to ask Obama about his duplicity on that matter.
