You may not need to score 60 points or more to win during the regular season but you will in the NCAA Tournament. Only three of 33 N.C. games where won by teams that scored less than 60 points. It is great they won three games in a row but they scored less than 60 points in each and that is a bad trend. They need to start scoring.

I believe one of those three championship game victories in which the winner scored under 60 was our title game against Rutgers. Ugly offensive game, but we managed to win it.

Even if we play good defense, we will never beat Ct. with /fewer/ than 60 points. They are very strong offensively and defensively.

The way I see our team vs the top ten this season game has to be in the sixties for us to have a chance. When it gets to seventy we will lose because we can't score that many against anybody other than weak teams. Texas got 72 we got 59. Against Stanford 59 they got 40. Anything over 59 against a top ten team seems to mean trouble. That is why I am worried about the game with Oregon State. I expect they will score at least sixty wonder where were going to get that many. Were getting wide open shots now don't think you can do better than that.

The more extra possessions we get helps us til we get a better rhythm on offense, defense and rebounding will keep us in most ball games but it starts with defense and rebounding cos our guards aren't efficient shooters.

2nd chance points will be the key in OSU game, that what usually separate good teams, Texas beat the Aggies because second chance point.

Got crash the board and limit most teams to one shot attempt.

As long as we score one more point than whomever we're playing that will work for me. Oh yeah, we'll beat UCONNED also.

GO VOLS!

The game against Stanford low scoring too, against the Aggies, UNC, LSU were all in their 40s. Good teams with athletes will make it hard to run your offense cos most good coaches are going to take it away, your sets, that's when you gotta have a playmaker
or offensive system where all five players are working to get the best shot, to get open uncontested looks.

Defense, Rebound and Good Guard play win championships.

60 points a game might get use to the elite 8 but not the final 4.

Well if Uconn wins obviously we didn't play good defense. lol ijs

Good defense doesn't mean the other team scores zero points. It means that you take away their easy looks and force them into tough shots. Unfortunately, they have Stewart, who makes it a knack to make tough shots. With her height and shooting range, they best they can do is slow her down, but not stop her altogether.

Honestly, if Tennessee could hold UConn to 60 points, that would be a defensive masterpiece for the ages.

Yes it would be. Happy Holidays.
