It's time to put it to a vote. I, personally, am really sick of hearing Golden's name, and the term "natural position" together in the same sentence. Golden is the option for PG we have, and he'd be the best option on a few other SEC teams.

IMO, STOP WORRYING ABOUT GOLDEN. He had an excellent season, considering it was his first at PG. He really looked like a sophomore PG, so he's not even behind in the transition. But the best part is that he will probably improve. As long as he does, you can expect a reduction in silly plays, shots, and turnovers. I have faith in this coaching staff as far as player development goes. We already have a solid PG in Golden, and I would put my money on him being one of the best in the SEC before he graduates.

GO VOLS!!!

Chris no worries, barring golden injury or suspension, he will be the PG the next 2 years here.

I'm actually very interested to see his progression this off season, and see how much this staff was able to help him.

Poll is public. Wouldn't have even thought about adding him if I hadn't seen it in the new Armani Moore thread.

Oh, I know. Don't worry, this thread was certainly not directed your way, even though we slightly disagree on the subject. It's mainly for the people who just make terrible arguments against Golden. You always back up your arguments, and like me, you are willing to accept different ideas even if you don't agree with them.

Chris, most of the sane minority of vol fans that have a good understanding of the game agree with you. It seems like saying the phrase "natural PG" is code for, "I don't understand basketball so I'll say this because it sounds cool." All the Skip Bayless's out there (don't) know what i'm sayin, but the "real fans" do!

PS: I love how Jalen Rose called skip out the other day! Epic back pedaling!

Golden led the SEC for awhile in assists, does a good job scoring (albeit not always consistant), plays semi good defense when he has his head into it and can be a leader if he wants to be. Id say that makes him at a minimum your above average PG in the SEC. Golden can be elite, if he works on the short list of stuff he needs to work on.
