that Martin Treux car is coming alive and he all of the sudden is a front runner and Dale Jr. just ok. I would bet that they are putting extra time in on ole Martins car.:twocents:

Oh goodness please don't bring this up. But it is kind of strange that he's performed well lately, but I've seen this coming before Junior made his decision.

Yeah, he's had some great momentum these past couple of weeks. Even in the previous weeks he had been running well, but he just couldn't finish it as good. He would have pit troubles, wreck problems, engine problems or the team was just struggling to keep up with the track at times. But I think we've all saw the potential of this during the past 2 months.

It's incredible. Momentum is one thing, but as soon as Jr. made the announcement that he was leaving, it's like the light switch went off with the #1 team. They went from a fringe top ten/fifteen car to a top two or three car over night.

I wanted to bet my daughter, who is a Dale Jr fan, that
Truex has more Cup wins than Dale Jr. She doesn't want to bet me on that. Hmmm?
Anyone else think it's possible or that Truex, Jr has more top 10's or top 5's than Dale Jr?

Jr. has 17 Cup wins already before going to the best team to Truex' 1 and she still wouldn't take that bet? :wacko:

its sad to think, but with a 3rd, 1st, and 2nd and the last 3 weeks....perfect timing?? :eek:hmy:

what's wrong with a top 5 finish for Jr.? For both to overcome what happened to them early in the race that's pretty impressive. besides Truex has always been a good driver. it was only a matter of time that he start winning races and running well. winning busch series champ. is not that easy. hopefully he and Jr. can start running together at the remaining plate races and give J.J.and J.G. a run for their money. Truex has never worked well with Jr. at the plate races yet.

I AM gettin tired of tires going down ...
but I dont think Jr should keep Tony Jr.......move on from everything associated with DEI and start fresh with HMS

I think he should take Tony Jr. with him to HMS for one reason....Look at what happened to him without Tony Jr., without Tony Jr. he had a hard time even finishing a race let alone winning one, I realize that at Hendrick he'll have the resources to win every week but it won't do him no good if he doesn't have a good crew chief, then again if he does go over there to the 5 car, Alan Gufstanson(sp?) has shown to be pretty good, he's no Chad Knauss but he's good

Truex, he'll be the #1 guy at DEI next year, but if you guys remember towards the end of last year that team really started pulling together and putting some decent runs, this year they've ran great, up until recently they just haven't had the finishes to show for it

A few years back Junior said that he would rather race midpack with Eury Jr and his team with him than be with totally different strangers and be great. Then the next year he and Waltrip switched teams and he was terrible. Now if he's going by what he said about 4 years ago then Tony will go with him, but if he wants to win, which is why he made this decision Tony wont go with him.

Jr. has won exactly 1 race with Eury Jr. as his crew chief. Tony Eury Sr. was always the guy calling the shots up until 2005. Eury Jr. was the car chief up until 2005 when he became the guy on the crew.

last 3 races without Eury Jr, hes finished 22nd, 12th, and 5th.....i dont think hes missin him that bad
