I know this has been discussed throughout many topic postings but who actually provided the information to Plowman?

There's so many possibilities because so many different violations were going on, it's hard to imagine that it went on as long as it did. I read it began with a tip to Tn upper level administration and they began in-house investigations. But so many folks were paid ( players, families, the pool boy etc ) and so many infractions ( illegal visits, illegal contacts, etc ) any one of those could have started the dominos falling

The fact that the person went to Plowman first and not the ncaa or media blowhards like Pete Thamel or Dan Wolken both of which would have devoted the next 6 months to writing about the scandal of the century definitely demonstrates they placed the best interests of the program before themselves.

Tennessee football NCAA violations case blown open by nail salon joke

On Nov. 13, 2020, UT Chancellor Donde Plowman’s office received a tip from an athletics department staff member. That person said they overheard members of the football program claim that some players were being “paid.

An athletics department staff member reported that during a discussion among football staff members in the football office, an undergraduate student worker suggested that Niedermeyer could not afford to take a voluntary COVID-related pay cut because, in order or substance, he needed money to pay for nail salon visits for family members of visiting prospective student-athletes,” BSK report said.

Almost three years later, that whistleblower is still feeling the emotional toll. That was referenced by Plowman in her closing remarks to an NCAA Committee on Infractions panel in a closed-door hearing in April.

The text of Plowman’s closing statement was shared in a university email and obtained by Knox News through an open records request.

“Last week, the person in my office who made me aware of the original compliance tip came to me distraught. They said they had come to the realization that they should have kept it to themselves and not put me in the difficult position of having to decide how to respond to it,” Plowman told the panel

Same can be said about avoiding Fulmer in that chain of command. Clearly, the whistleblower wanted it only with competent hands.

If you are working in athletic department and you hear what this person did, no way you say anything to anyone in the athletic department. How far would you know the payments went? To the AD? You have no idea.

So if you want to talk you go outside the department and outside of compliance. Safest move. The person did the right thing as it was a common sense move.

1. Who told Plowman?
2. Did Oswald act alone?
3. Where is Hoffa ?

Great unknowns of our time
1. Need to know. :^)
2. No, he did not!
3. He is a janitor in a drum.

My personal favorites are
1. Where is the Garden of Eden? [You don't need to know.]
2. Is there any of the Ark left? [Probably not.]
3. What year was Jesus executed?
:^)))))))

That's who I heard it was FWIW. I'm sure LWS or somebody on here knows for sure one or another at this point.

I don't know and have never been told. Skeptical about Trey's sister as that was the initial rumor when things broke. Most of the time the rumors are false.

What happened between Pruitts hire and firing is meaningless to me. I bet the Tennessean has emailed me 15 articles since the announcement Friday. I've not read one of them and really don't intend to. Its all water under the bridge. What so and so did or didn't do years ago doesn't matter now that penalties are assessed. Just a waste of time to try and rehash or review IMO.

I remember seeing somewhere that Tee Martin hated Pruitt and spilled some beans. I can believe that because Pruitt is a douche canoe.
