I was on the fence. The decision to sit on two timeouts and head to overtime was the coup de grace for me. There was literally no reason not to attempt to score at the end of regulation. No. Reason. Whatsoever.

And yet Dooley sat on those timeouts in an effort to head to O.T. Newsflash, the defense is still horrible. Going to OT is not in the best interest of this team. It's not arguable.

Defended him longer than most, done now. Have to get that home run or going to be bad for atleast 3 more years.

I did. I thought wed win out. 8-5 and hed get 1 final year to contend for a championship. Today was reminiscent of fulmers last years where we got leads and played to not lose instead of playing to win. The excuse well ran dry today for me.

Dooley should resign out of embarrassment.

I suspect that he will, after negotiating a buyout. I turned today. Was "on the fence". He has to go. He's is on track to be only coach in UT history with 8 losses.

I literally turned the game off when coach Dooley went into that shell at the end of regulation and played for overtime. I knew then it was over and that our pathetic defense would not stop Missouri in OT. It would have been over sooner had we not made that fake field goal.

I was 90% there before today. Now I'm 110%. Horribly coached game today. I'm an old timer -went to my first Vols game 51 years ago - and I like to think I'm a patient man. But this is simply ridiculous.

I am shocked how many people turned today, really?

I figured more most vol fans wanted him gone the end of last year and if we had done it, we could have hired Majors and been better.

Not taking a shot at the end of regulation... not even calling a timeout with 2-3 seconds and a hail marry just killed me. Unbelievable.

I was already done but have now accepted that anyone could be better. I was against a Kirby Smart or equivalent hire but now I'll time him.

I wasnt suprised at all he sat on it at all...I just sit back and laugh at him, but I feel sorry for our players..we are the only team in the nation that scores close to 40 just about every game and can't win in the SEC...coaching is the problem on D...just crazy...beer please

My mind was made up with the end of the 4th quarter and the play calling in OT. I guess before that point I was wanting to keep him bc he is a classy and like able person. Now...I just want to see him peaceably move on and wish him the best. I want to move on and see a top hire coach and to see our fan base show class in the coaching change process. I want to see UT recruit some solid talent the next 2 years.
