Who uses itunes?

Is there not a way to have music in a certain folder auto added to your library. I physically add the songs to the folder but I have to go in and click on "add folder to library" every time. What a pain. There has to be another way.

itunes remains a mystery to me. I know what you're talking about, but I've never tried to figure it out.

This probably isn't how you're supposed to do it, but this is what I do:

I go to the folder that I want to add to my iTunes library.
I open the folder and select all, highlighting all the songs in the folder.
Then, I go back to my library and hit "paste." It'll take a minute for them to transfer, but not much longer than that.

Seriously though, there has to be an automated way to do it. I think in media player it automatically adds any new songs in your folders to your library.

It can't be this difficult.

On second thought, go to the "Advanced" tab and click on "Consolidate Library."

I could be completely wrong, but I think that will put all of the songs in your folders into your iTunes Libary Folder.

Actually, I'm probably wrong. But it's worth a try.

Try this if you already haven't:

1. Ipod has to be connected.
2. Open itunes
3. Go to Edit>Preferences>ipod
4. Make wure Automatically update all songs and playlists is checked

How about putting all the folders you want to stick into iTunes into one big folder and then add that one?

:lol: I can see where it would... But I'm lame, refuse to use Limewire. I listen to mostly indie-label bands, so p2p does really screw them there.

As far as what youre goin' with, freak, I think the iTunes music folder stuff gets automatically added.
