dont remember him, so that must be a good choice

Darden was a stud #1 RB in nation out of Mississippi. He left UT around 96 and transferred to JSU where he became a DB.

I have to agree, The kid was a stud!
He was going to be a UT Great...but he knew it and let his mouth go a bit further than id care to ever hear from a VOL Again. Also injured more than on the field.

But my overrated Vol selection would be Munoz...This kid sat out most of a Vandy game, the entire KY game, didnt dress for the SECCG or the Cotton Bowl. His injury, he had played with over and over...He wanted to protect his draft stock and we all know where that went.

Brian Darden was a good pick but Ronnie Pillows would give him a run for his money . Also another All American RB that never did anything . I thought when he signed we had a great one and only heard his name on defense . He also left after a couple of years . Who was the kid we signed to be a QB the year after Peyton Started but transferred to GT because the coaches weren't being fair to him . Like baby Brandon did . Neither one did anything worth mentioning in their carreers . Go Vols !!!

munoz would be my choice too. I got sick of seeing shots of Anthony Munoz in the stands every week and hearing the announcers go on about how Michael was great just like his dad. :shakehead:

My favorite whipping boy, Wil Overrated. He was at best a decent player at UT, stole a paycheck from the Falcons for a few years, and now spends his time as an apologist for the coaching staff on Sunday morning talk shows.

Jim Bob Cooter.

For all the hoopla, I haven't seen him throw anything. Not even his clipboard.

OJ Owens was the #1 Safety coming out of high school if I remember. He never did much of anything.

My #1 vote is Kelly Washington.

I got a soft spot for Peerless Price but he hasn't done anything in the NFL like I hoped.

Lavoiser Fisher was a linebacker out of Nashville about 6-3 235 who ran a 4-5 forty and should have been an All-American but never caught fire.

There was also a big offensive lineman out of Oak Ridge (#77) about 6-7 and 300# that was a huge bust . I forget his name.

I'd have to say Kelly Washington. He was his biggest cheerleader a regular mouth of the south but would'nt go across the middle, and rarely caught a pass.

"Rarely caught a pass?" Did you watch the 2001 season?

Are we talking about overrated while playing for UT or overrated once they got to the NFL? If the latter, shouldn't Shuler be mentioned?
