Let me start by saying that I really don't care which QB starts from here on out. I am only interested in the one that helps us win. That being said, I didn't get to watch the game but kept noticing the radio guys talking about how fearless Dobbs seemed to be playing. That was really impressive to me considering the team he was playing and where it was being played. I am not the coach and it is not mine or anyone's decision but Butch's. I'll trust his choice and support them.

Dobbs is a gamer just like manning was . hell fire what an arm.. Peterman went to pieces Worley is a game manager bad throws etc. ... crazy if they don't start dobbs... my opinion. but I am not the Vols coach Butch Jones is. I am sure he will make the right decisions. Maybe Dobbs and other Qtbs just didn't know the plays earlier in the year...

Please stop this nonsense. That's the dumbest thing anyone has heard all day. You don't give one guy the opportunity for the rest of the year to save the "better" qb. That's laughable.

Why do you care so much? Play the guy who gives us the best chance for the rest of the year. If Dobbs proves he can lead this team, then it's likely his to lead.

You hit the nail on the head when talking about posters and the media. There is something here that most people do not understand about radio, TV, writers, bloggers, ect. If you really think about it, you will not argue with what I'm about to say. Take all the media types and posters on this site and put their consolidated knowledge about what is really going on in UT practices after the media is escorted out, and all total, they don't even know as much as the worst player on UT's roster.

I think both may play. My hope would be that based on the situation, packages would be tailored to the strenghts of both QBs. Mizzu is going to be a very tough opponent. I was shocked to see how athletic their defense was. They are definitely getting the most out of their players.

I don't care who starts, as much as what the score is when we finish.

CBJ will make the right call.

Go Vols!!

I'm going to wait, see what the coaches decide, and then support that decision.

But I do appreciate everyone taking time off from their busy jobs as NFL scouts to help us unenlightened VN posters that don't know s___ about football. :whistling:

IMO, Dobbs will start for the rest of the year. Fergy was by all accounts the number 2, but tweaked a hammy in practice which necessitated bringing Dobbs in when Worley was hurt. (By the way, was it my imagination or was Worley's thumb swollen and blue?)

Starting Dobbs will get him much needed experience while continuing with the Red Shirt with Fergy ensures QB separation for the next few years as we haven't recruited any this year. I believe that Worley will be #2 for the rest of the year and will be back in if Dobbs gets flustered or hurt.

In his presser i herad CBJ say that they anticpate Worley being back for next week. It seemed to imply thaty he was still the starter and baring further injury would play?

Work him all week as #1 on the read option and timing.
