Who do you think gets picked to run as Vice-President for each party? I think McCain will probably have the stronger running mate unless Hilliary or Obama decides to run as the others Vice-President.

McCain
Romney
Huckabee
Thompson
Guiliani

Obama
Edwards
Hilliary
?

Hilliary
Edwards
Obama
?

I think McCain decides to go it alone against a ticket of Obama - Gore.

I think it will be McCain/Huckabee vs Obama/Edwards, though McCain/Romney would be a better choice.

I think Edwards is out (thought I heard that)

Hope it's not Huckabee - agree Romney is better choice. The Florida gov would be a good choice as well.

McCain's gonna pick up JC Watts to offset the age issue that he has. JC is going to blow the minds of some Obama backers.

Hillary - Bill Richardson

Obama - Sam Nunn or Phil Bredesen

McCain - Haley Barbour or Mike Huckabee

I'd be surprised if McCain goes with Huckabee as his VP. Huckabee is too far right to garner undecided votes in a general election.

I would love to see this, not sure how passionate JC is about politics anymore though. He still loves to talk about, just not sure how much he wants to get back into the mud pits. At least conservatives would have someone to throw in with. Would make a interesting choice from so many angles. This being the craziest election process ever, would certainly add to the drama of it all.

While I think that Obama-Clinton, would be unstoppable, if they didn't kill each other, if not HRC, and wanted to pull back in the women's vote, maybe Claire McCaskill. Maybe Jim Webb would be a choice also.
For McCain, another long shot from others posted would be Kay Bailey Hutchinson, a fire baller to say the least, but may have a bit to much controversy surrounding her.

Is there any way that Hillary would EVER consider Richardson after he backed Obama and turned his back on the Clintons?
Hmmm... I missed that. On second thought, I doubt he will be her running mate. I didn't know about that.

Interesting...

I for one would love to see that ticket. I think JC would do a good job and it would (I think) shut Rev. Wrong's mouth about the race issue.

The Clintons don't forget and forgive, no way Richardson will be the VP (for her anyway). I don't think Fred is interested in being VP, either. Heck, he wasn't even that interested in being President.

Good call on Fred, never had the heart for it in the end. Certainly not going thru all the effort to be the second banana.

I hope the GOP gets it right with their vp candidate, because McCain will probably die of natural causes before the end of his first term.

Maybe Marc Maggard has a scoop on who will be VP... sorry it was there, I had to take the shot, I don't feel good about it.
