My UK friends are upset with the media (ESPN) for the evaluation and predictions they're making about Andre Woodson. Several ESPN reports have Woodson as a 2nd rounder or even a 3rd rounder. My friends expect Woodson to go before Ainge and possibly be in the top ten or the very least a late 1st round pick. I remember the big bust that Couch was...

According to the article I read, Martz was messing with all three quarterbacks. Footwork, timing...I believe the scouts were commenting about it. Again, it IS UK...we all know, especially those of us that live here, how unfounded and lofty UK fans' hopes and dreams are concerning anything closely related to UK sports.

I really would be scared taking Brohm at this point. No Senior Bowl really hurt him IMO. I would probably rather have Woodson...and thats not saying much.

Google Heather Kozar, thats Couch's wife, and tell me if you still think he's a bust.

Andre Woodson is a system qb if you ask me. I believe he'll sit on the bench in the nfl.

Woodson will go in the 2nd round. Ainge will most likely be taken in the 4th or 5th round.

the few times i've seen him play i didn't come away impressed, but I also thought ryan leaf would be a better pro qb than peyton so i don't know much. :dunno:

I definitely agree with that... Matt Ryan, to me, doesn't even seem like a mouth-watering franchise QB.

Matt Ryan is the prototypical QB out of the bunch. 6-5 with a big arm.

But you're right he doesn't seem like a franchise QB. I honestly don't think any of these QBs outside of Flacco are "franchise" QBs.

Ainge = Trent Dilfer

Brohm = Ty Detmer

Woodson = Akili Smith

Ryan = Kyle Boller

Even with Flacco, I don't see an NFL organization building their team around him in the near future. However, I do think Flacco has the most upside out of all the draft-eligible QBs and could someday be considered a "franchise" player.

With Ryan, Woodson, Brohm, Henne, Brennan, Ainge, and Booty, I think they could all be productive NFL QBs... but it's going to take them more time. They may need 3, 4, or 5 years to get to that point... I don't think there are any Vince Youngs or Peyton Mannings in this draft class.

This reminds me of the 2005 NFL Draft, where the 49ers need was at QB, so they took Alex Smith at No. 1 because he was arguably the best QB available. We all know how that has turned out.

However, I do think this year's QB class is talent deep, just not talent rich.

my guess is that if we see an all pro qb come from this draft it's going to be someone most of us have never heard of.

Where do you guys think Dennis Dixon goes, if at all in the draft?

If I'm the 49ers, I'd take a chance on him with a late round pick.

I'm not sure how his knee is at this point, but I'd say 6th-7th round. If he's completely healthy before the combine, he could definitely go a couple rounds earlier.

His knee is shot. It's going to be about 8 months (from the time of surgery) before it's healthy and about a year before it is 100%
