Who will have better assistants

If you think this sounds like a joke ... both teams look like their building a really good staff. You can use your insults all you like, but Tennessee and Kentucky might cause South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida some trouble. They just need to recruit the right players now. The SEC landscape might just be about to change.

It's sad when you say UT might cause Bama etc problems. We can't have any more might seasons... The time to win is now. For KY, they are still going to suck no worries

UK's problem is and will continue to be recruiting. They have less in-state talent and are probably considered the 2nd football program in their state. They are further from talent rich areas in the SE than any other SEC school. To their north, they have the traditional powers of ND, Mich, OSU, and PSU.

Mark Stoops may be a great coach. If he is... then he'll get a better gig in a couple of years after improving their results a little. But no one will get the players to UK that are needed to make real noise in the SEC.

That said, there is no way to know how a staff will do until they actually work together. To the extent it comes down to the leadership of the HC... UT should have the better guy.
