this is who i will think will redshirt on each position
RB-Vereen, rogan
QB- coleman
WR-T. maples, A. Paige, D. Moore, Todd Cambell
OL- D. Sawtelle
DL- W. Brimfield, R. Melacon, R. Williams
LB- Chris Walker, D. Barnes ( said he's playing LB.)
CB- C.J. Fleming
Safety- A. Anderson.

I'm not 100% sure these are the positions they will play, just what ive heard they might be placed at.

I agree with this. Except maybe for Paige, but he will probably end up redshirting.

i think paige gets a hard look but ultimately takes a redshirt. Sawtelle might have a chance to come in. And i cant see melancon especially, maybe even brimfield, redshirting because we need some depth. But as fulmer has always said, we have to wait til they get on campus. one thing is for sure though...eric berry will start at something...or maybe even everything

yea we need those DT's. Langley is an early enrollee so hes got a chance at some significant time next year

I don't think Chris Walker redshirts.

I think he does. He is a great athlete, but the reason he wasn't a higher 4 or 5 star is because his technique isn't up to standard. He'll probably be good down the road, but it'll probly take a year er 2. Besides we are totally loaded at linebacker.

i agree. Walker is a very raw recruit with great athleticism. he would benefit greatly from a redshirt season. the only freshman linebacker that sees any significant action this year is donald

Obviously, McCoy, Mayo, and Karl are the starters. Chris Donald will be ahead of him on the depth chart, but you need more than 1 back up there. Adam Meyers-White hasn't stepped up ... yet. Who else ya got? Deshaun Barnes could potentially jump ahead of him due to technique. Dorian Davis? Ellix Wilson? You may end up right, and I'm sure it will benefit him. I just think he sees the field in 2007.

thats a good point. was davis redshirted last year? and i would also think that a guy like savion frazier gets redshirted before walker does

I'd say our LBs will be:

SLB-Karl/AMW/Thompson
MLB-Mayo/Wilson/Turner
WLB-McCoy/Donald/Davis

Thompson and Davis could switch. I only think the top 6 will play much.
