Did Arian Foster earn his starting job back with his 3 TD runs? I hope they start Foster... and let Coker and Hardesty get some carries here and there. Foster can break tackles and get the tough yards, something our RBs will have to do against Bama.

I don't think Coker did anything to warrant losing his starting job. If it ain't broke . . .

It's not like Foster's three TD's were really long runs . . . he punched two in from the 1 yard line, and the third was a short but powerful 3 yard TD I believe.

I don't think the RBs care who starts so long as they get their carries. I feel the same way. I could care less who starts, so long as they run it well when they're in the game. You gotta love being able to throw opposing defenses a changeup with the differing styles, and it's great to have fresh legs throughout the game.

I don't think so either... but the reason Coker was the starter is because Foster was injured, not ineffective. I'm just curious as to who starts now that Arian is healthy.

It's no secret that I think Coker's the best back, but I don't think it matters who starts. Coker and Foster are going to come close to splitting the carries...maybe we see James Brown (I Feel Good na na na na na na na)...maybe we don't.

i think Coker starts, but at this point it really doesn't mean much...they both will get carries...i expect both to share time fairly equally the rest of the season....

I'd split carries between all 3 backs. Hardesty is not out of the picture yet, guys =)

I really liked seeing Coker return that kickoff. I think he could turn into a dangerous returner as well. When you've got that kind of speed get him the ball as much as you can.

Like most of you I dont think it matters much who starts. The carries will be very close unless one gets in an amazing groove or one puts the ball on the ground. I think what might determine who comes out for the first series depends on what formation we are in. If we are in a single-back set then I think Coker still starts. If we come out in the shotgun then Foster starts. Coker's pass protection seems to be getting better but they try to limit the amount of time Coker spends in the backfield when we are in the shotgun. I have noticed that when we go to the shotgun Coker goes out and I can only assume it is for pass protection reasons.

I think Coker will end up being an ALL SEC back. He impresses me more and more each week. He is dynamic with the ball in his hands.

I hate picking favorites, but if I had to, It'd be Coker. He's just such an entertaining runner!

I don't really care who starts, they're both capable. I thought that Coker had a very nice game against UGA but then again, so did Foster.

Foster looked pretty good breaking tackles and getting the needed yardage to keep the chains moving. Not to mention the goal line.

They'll both play and they'll both do a good job. I haven't given up on Hardesty yet either.

Coach Phil, has made it clear Coker is staying back for kick returns as he has had the best success back their of anyone in way to long. I'm sure coker and foster will split time with some hardesty thrown in every once in a while. the back with the most success in a game will get more carries and it will change game to game. I dont see either of the 2 pulling away with the job they are too good and completely different runners.

It doesn't matter who starts at our RB position. It's who makes the big plays when needed and keeps chuggin' along at 150%.

They will prolly put 8 sometimes 9 in the box against our run.......

Then we will see the Eric Ainge passing clinic.....

Coker is our best overall back but I got a feeling that Foster will get things rolling here real soon. He is a back that you want in a smash mouth game.

I think playing time will be decided on field position and time of game I like foster on the goal line and late in the game his power and ability to break tackles gives him an advantage there .I like Coker at start of game and mid field as well as kickoff returns his speed and elusiveness gives him an advantage.

I disagree. Coker is certainly our most dynamic back. He has the most big play ability. But he is not our best "overall" back. Foster, and even still Hardesty, are better at the little things backs do. We gave up one sack against UGA, did anybody notice what happened on that play? UGA brought a safety blitz and Coker was responsible for picking up the pass protection. The safety ran right by Coker as Coker stood behind the OL looking lost and blocking absolutely nobody.

I'd like to see us use a formation like Auburn when they played both Ronnie Brown and The Cadillac at the same time. Get them both in the game and use them the same as Auburn did. That was pretty tough to stop.
