i really hope just for the sake of these kids that are making life changing decisions that Meyer doesnt pull some crap on them... if he leaves after signing day there will be an uproar

Some are speculating this is the case, but I highly doubt it..

Meyer is real big on his "Legacy" and this will defintely dent that if he does..

I have a hard time believing that Urban made the decision to resign without a lot of deep thought. The guy went through a lot of consultation with his family, co workers, team, and God before he came to this decision that I'm sure he agonized over. What seems more likely that after 24 hrs he decided to change his mind or Foley convinced him to help them salvage the recruiting class by saying he is taking a LOA?

exactly...I feel that you are right on about salvaging the recruiting class...He will resign later next year after recruits sign their LOI...GBO!

I agree and I'm not convinced Foley is going to roll with what they have in place currently. This is going to blow up in Florida's face big time IMO. I think it already has in a way. The media has went from painting Meyer as sympathetic to selfish and this will cost UF a few recruits that are on the fence right now. Florida will look like the scum that they are once NSD comes and passes; Meyer will go ahead and step down, Foley will make a change at HC, and I'm sure the jorts will buy the media spin that Meyer/Foley shovels out hook, line, and sinker. I'm just not sure the rest of the country will though.

I don't really put this flip flop on Meyer, to me it probably was done at the request of their athletic directory. He realized Meyer stepping down was going to put a serious dent in their recruiting, he realized they have nobody lined up as successor who would jump in and make a big splash. He realized he could very likely be stuck with a Zook type replacement if he was forced to make a move too quick and without doing an extensive search. Meyer was asked to do this for UF and feeling obligated to do so.

I am not saying Meyer is innocent and IMO he has done enough over the years to earn the reputation as a whiner and many other things. He was asked to perpetuate the myth that he is returning and he did, take it for what it's worth.

It is still a crappy thing to do IMO. This is Meyer's true character though. I hope the guy is okay but just because you're a great football coach doesn't make you a great person. I put my family and my faith first but after 24 hrs I might reconsider?

It made him look like a total baffoon!!! He looked confused and almost dazed at that strange pressor in New Orleans. You can't tell me one spirited practice makes your health problems disappear and your daughter's comments about getting her daddy back go away and his spirtual life suddenly healed. By announcing his resignation and stating all of the touching reasons for it,then suddenly deciding the next day only a LOA will be necessary makes anything he says unrealiable and untrustworhty. They botched the whole deal and will pay for it on the field in the coming years.

I'm telling you he doesn't want the responsibility of rebuilding his team and staff while operating under the unrealistic pressure of turd nation! They are 12-1 and miserable, lmfao!!!

That's just bad business all around.. He's basically hurting these kids if he does that.. I don't think even Meyer would do that..

If that happened to Jevan and it was Kiffin that told him Tim was a linebacker, it would still be on the ESPN ticker THE LEAD to this day how he lied to him.
