We all thought Golden was Jesus when the season started last year. He destroyed the competition the first couple of games. Also, nobody thought Maymon would be NEARLY as good as he was (at least I sure didn't). Who do you see most likely to shock you by taking tons of steps up?

IMO (and I hope it don't bite me like it did last year) I'm going with McRae!! (AGAIN) I don't know what this kid has to do to get his head on straight but he's an amazing ball player. He's so gifted that it makes me angry to see him make dumb plays. I hope Martin chains him in the film room and rewinds the 100,000 bad shots he took. I just hope he develops his basketball IQ and stops looking for a foul everytime he gets in the paint. It really sucks when he blows by his man or hits the baseline to throw up a ridiculous shot. He's a good freethrow shooter, can drain it from outside, and can jump out of the gym. If he could just work on his decisions and not play with a chip on his shoulder, he'll be amazing!

I'm not hating on the guy at all, but I'm kinda guessing McRae is a small-scale bust. However, he still has plenty of time to turn it around. This staff would be the ones to do it if it's possible. I hope he can because he could be a BEAST, and everyone here knows that.

I'm excited to see Richardson. I read that Martin is grooming him to play point. Love his mid-range jumper.

In any case, I can't wait til late October!! CAN WE PLEASE JUST SKIP FOOTBALL SEASON!?!?!

i would have to agree about McRae. Or should i say Mcwrongdecision Guy. So many times i think he tried to be a leader but he made bad decisions trying to hard. I also think that more upper body strength would also help him when driving to the hole. He played way to fast. So i'm hoping that the game slows down for him as a junior.

I'd say stokes but that's too easy haha...

Either McRae or Josh IMO is going to have a good season, I'm hoping McRae though he has the highe upside IMO.

I think d'montre is going to have a good season so I'm kind of expecting it. Not mind blowing, but a solid all around type of season. Basically cam tatum hopefully without so many of the dumb plays.

So yea im done rambling, either Jordan or Josh, I'm hoping Jordan.

I'm going way out in a limb here and say Kenny Hall. He has never played up to the flashes we saw his Freshman year. Hopefully he's got his mind right. If he does he could have a good year and that would give UT 3 quality post players.

Viable choice IMO.

I actually considered Kenny, but I don't know if he'll get enough minutes to do too much.

Then again if maymon plays the 3, Kenny will get plenty of minutes in the post.

I figure there are 80 minutes a game between the two post positions. That's 30 a piece for Maymon and Stokes (assuming Maymon doesn't play any SF). That leaves a solid 20 for Kenny. I think Martin would like to not be forced to rely on Miller(based on last season) and limit Yemi's minutes for at least another season. If Hall plays like he showed as a Frosh Tennesee could hang with anyone in the post.

Yea I figured yemi wouldn't be donuted though. I see him getting 5-10 atleast, especially after what he showed late last year.

As I said though, if maymon plays even some 3 there's more minutes for Kenny as well too.

Skip football season?? I can see wanting to skip before the last two seasons, but we actually have some wins to look forward to this year!

For me, I hope Stokes shows the most improvement. I know -- he should have been in high school last year and all that, but he was a little underwhelming last year in my opinion. He played well, but he's no sure-fire lottery pick at this point. If he makes the biggest improvement, then we could be in for a special season.

He did good enough to warrant double teams. He played a little fast, but had signs of being that lottery pick. If he grows any he could be a top 5 with a stellar season next year, by stellar I mean 15-20 points and 10 rebs per. He has the talent for that, just has to put it all together.

If stokes was legitimate 6'10, he would be even more beast than he already is.

You may have something to look forward to. I'll take UT bball over football 100 of 100 times.

For Sure! i didn't even think about Josh developing into a nice backup PG. I do like that little jumper he has and his defense is impressive. He'd be a mess for someone to handle if he got better handles :)

He's first round at this point, have a decent season and hell most likely be close to a lottery pick.

Strangely enough, grow 1-2 inches and hell be a lottery pick even if he puts up identical numbers to last year.

ohh man. if he grew another 2 inches, he'd be scary and I'd probably cry when he left UT lol. The most impressive thing about Stokes to me is his hands. He's got an incredible touch with the ball and I really hope he makes a ton of money in the next stage

He just needs to take some HGH this summer. If dude was 6'11" 275 with his skill set he'd have top 5 written all over over him.

He loses the ball too much down low, slapped away and stripped when posting. He improved on that throughout the year though. I think it was probably an effect of 1. Playing vs HS kids and 2. Not having played competitive ball in about 6 months atleast.

I think we're going to see a much different stokes out of the gate next year. The full off season working out an skill training, plus the extra practices an games in the euro trip is like a perfect storm for him to come out beasting next year.

CANT WAIT!!!

Used to see him a lot on campus, but now all I see is Kenny, Jeronne, and Yemi. Yemi is in a class I grade for anyways.
