The storm itself with rain and possible thunder combined with the sell-out crowd at Neyland will make it even louder than normal. The noise is going to be ridiculous for USU.

We've been saying it all summer Volnation - a storm is coming. The forecast for Sunday agrees with us.

The air went out bad in the stadium after the rain delayed with Oregon. Also got a severe beatdown

Our history of playing in the rain isn't too good...In fact the only one I can remember us winning is the Auburn game in 1989...I'd rather it be nice and clear and let the teams play without any threat of stopping the game because of lightning.

South Carolina 2009 ~ course that was just rain, not a storm exactly.

Bad weather generally favors the underdog as it makes the outcome of the game more random

IIRC, we beat Ohio State and the Heisman winner Eddie George in a sloppy rain fest game. Ohio accused us of using illegal cleats?

Any UT insiders know this answer -- how long will they wait out a effing lightning delay should there be one ?

Hey I'll be under the upper deck and dry so it can rain all game for all I care, but my biggest fear, other than a loss, is the dreaded 45 min delay because of one random lightning bolt! Please no rain, no thunder, no lightning no matter who it favors.

What about that UF game when Casey Clausen fumbled the snap like 7 times and Grossman tore up the UT secondary - what season was that game ? I remember the TV camera was blurry from the rain.

Was there. Wasn't in the dry. There was water standing in my shoes by the time it was done, but we stayed. I drove home barefoot the next day while my shoes dried out. :)

We were there for Oregon too. Remember talking to some of them and they were saying how oh yeah, they were used to thunderstorms, and then that bad boy rolled in and they were in shock.
