Why did Heupel take that Bush League timeout?

I'd just like to know why Josh Heupel decided to take that last timeout? It was bad enough the coaching and performance on the field was embarrassing, but then we add insult to injury by taking a petty timeout. Then we double down by acting like a bunch of thugs trying to start a fight at the end. If we're gonna get our ass kicked, let's at least do it with a little dignity. That was a poor decision by coach. Almost as bad as throwing a dozen WR screens that go no where.

Willie is gone at the end of the year. Don't know about Banks.

BTW, ESPN switched to the CO v CSU game - but the refs made the teams come back, line up, and run a final play. TN’s ball in the red zone but with less than 5 seconds. Heupel elected to have Milton take a knee rather than throw into the end zone to try to make the final score less ugly. So maybe CJH isn’t bush keague like the OP is suggesting.

After the fracas and penalty, they had the teams come back. UT took a snap and kneeled on it to end the game.

Because he was pissed Napier took the bush league timeout on the play before instead of kneeling it to end the game.
