I understand Kiff went after him last yr and we need a WR coach. Seemed like it would have been a good fit for both parties if he was open to leaving Fla. Why LSU? Am I missing something? Anyone have any info?

Have we honestly started looking for replacements yet? As far as actually making offers? It may have been they offered him a good deal and hadn't heard from TN, so he took it. I'm honestly not sure but just some input.

With Kippy, he didn't get hired with CPF the last time due to he wanted his brother hired too. His dollars and side requirements are a difficult fence to hurdle on him. He is a higher position coach than what we have available.

Have you been impressed with the gator passing game this year?

Last year everyone wanted him and now he sucks? The passing game had more to do with Addazio than Gonzales. Kind of like when they didn't have a running game and Drayton took the fall for it. Well Tebow is STILL there leading rusher and Drayton has been gone 2 years now so obviously it wasn't his fault.

It's my opinion that the gators will never have a really good rushing game as long as Meyer is coach. The system will not interest great backs, or even draw enough good running backs to get the job done over an entire SEC season. BTW...never said that Gonzales sucked...He just doesn't seem to have done as good of a job for the gators, that Wilson did for the Vols.

No, but I was impressed w/ the TE who is a freak. Dude can recruit and lets be realistic, they were retooling w/ WRs this yr.

Yes, the TE has great physical attributes, but seems to have a screw loose. Even I could catch a whoopie pass behind the L.O.S....now running with it after the catch, is another matter. I guess we shall see how things turn out next season when the gators will actually line up a QB behind center.

How would you know that TN did or did not try to hire him?

Just guessing here that Kiffin wanted someone last year that could help him get a foot in the door with a lot of these Florida high schools. I don't think BG is a bad WR's coach but IDK that he is anything exceptional either; remember Meyer passed him over a few times instead of promoting him. I think we go out and get a better option as far as coaching and hope we get someone good at recruiting.

Coached and Recruited against him since he first tried to hire him, maybe he wasn't impressed!!! LOL! He really meant he does not think the Turd coaches are very good, just real good players. It's blowing up down there and Cryer's big hire from Central Michigan? What? HAHAHA!!!! GO VOLS!

Uh if I recall correctly his brother is a RBs coach.

And at the time, Kippy was employed and now hes not.

A man unemployed vs an Assistant Head Coach in the NFL is a big change.

I saw it rumored that it would take between 300k and 400k to bring in Kippy. That's a lot of cash with us working on another deal for CLT and still needing another spot filled.

No one has mentioned the fact that he's not just a WR coach at LSU...pretty sure I saw that he is the "passing game coordinator" there and I doubt we would offer him that much responsibility

Ok after Sabans players, dont you have to win something with the great ones to be the "U" of that position?? Or is Va Tech "Wildcat QB U'?? I"m voting for
USC as wide receiver U. LSU can be "clock management U"
