that the real big boy USC (not the whiney little girls to the east) is going to be a difficult game?

I sure hope it isn't...if it is, it will be a long season to say the least.

I think people are basing it upon what happened last year, and the return of Devan Downey. Most "experts" think that what they having coming in trumps what they lost, and have them making the NCAA's this year. I think they are at #30, preseason?

Myself, I'm not sold completely on them yet. But we do know this, any team with stellar play and experience in the backcourt can win or at least put up a fight in the SEC. Maybe its not a tough game, but perhaps not a roll over either. Downey is no joke.

I thought we were talking football?

I don't. Floyd left that place in disarray and they have practically no one returning, although I'm sure Mater P's kid will light us up. I'm sure USC looked good when they were scheduled, but not now.

Why would we be talking football in the basketball forum? There is more than just one USC in the world. :eek:k:

EDIT: Looking back on this comment, I'm not sure if EMAIN meant Southern Cal, or South Carolina.

If he meant Cal, then obviously disregard my blabbering.

I'm pretty sure he meant the Trojans, not the Gamecocks. If not, I need to edit my last post...

I was talking about the Trojans, and your last post pretty much sums up my thoughts on it.

They saw our road performances at Temple, Ole Miss, and Auburn last year.

I watched that Temple game from a barstool. Needless to say, it was horrible. I believe it was the same day we played the Hoosiers, and the UT game was on first.

The USC roster is depleted after last year, but they are still projected to start 4 upper classmen. Experience at home might keep them in the game.

If UT decides to actually bring their defense along with them on the trip, I don't see a huge issue.

i watched it from home in my recliner and was sickend to the fact we let one guy light us up and basically beat us on his own....We still dont have a lock down defender..until we can play some half court d we are in trouble when we play anyone with good guards!!!

I'm pretty sure I could hear individual fans yelling during that Auburn game. That was one of the worst crowds I'd ever seen.
