Why dont we play Lane more than Neal??

I understand he is a Senior and we are rebuilding, but it looks like Lane runs more North and South and has a quicker recognition than Neal. Any thoughts?

Lane is a much better runner. I look forward to him being the primary back. Neal is good, but I have never seen him as a game changer. Lane is a game changer and a back that will run your arse over if you get in his way.

I agree .. that's the census .. he is definitely the better back. Also why isn't Jacob Carter playing .. he was the clutch receiver last year when we needed a play. Great hands. I am beginning like some of fellow vols what is going on...

Lane had some nice runs tonight, but they never stayed with him. Neal is what he is, he bounces everything, he was doing a good job of following the blocking but these last two games..... Just wow.

I think Lane has looked better all season. Neal can run through holes, but if nothing is there, prepare for a loss. Lane has much better vision and can make something out of nothing.

Neal has better top speed, but that's all I've really seen all year.

The problem with going with Neal because of his top speed is that he never hits that gear because his goes down at the hint of contact, usually after dancing and trying to bounce outside. Lane might be slower, but he usually gets positive yardage by simply looking for a hole and hitting it directly. Plus he usually gets yardage after contact. I can't figure out why he doesn't get more carries.
