that a non AQ team can't go to a BCS bowl when they didn't win their conference BUT an AQ can play for the BCSMCG without winning theirs?

I don't think there is a specific rule that a non-AQ school HAS to win it's conference to go to a BCS bowl. But, really, it's hard enough for a non-AQ CHAMPION to get in one.

they just said it on ESPN on the BCS countdown...."Boise can't play in a BCS game because they didn't win their conference."

Is it fair that two SEC teams play for the National Championship-LSU and Bama? The only way the Oklahoma St would jump above Bama would beat Oklahoma by more than 3 TD's and I don't see that happening. If the Soomers win on Saturday, then the Cowboys may be out of a BCS game. VPI or Stanford don't deserve to play LSU since they will beat UGA in the SEC Championship game. If it's LSU vs Bama then the SEC doesn't lose regardless of who wins. Think that one over. Where does Houston belong? Do they play Arkansas, Boise St., Oklahoma St (providing they beat OU), Stanford or VPI?
Believe TCU will get a BCS bid over Bosie St since they won that matchup?

Never mind winning their conference, this year we will see a team play in the NC that DID NOT EVEN WIN THEIR OWN DIVISION. :crazy:

They got Houston playing in the Sugar Bowl with ether Mich. or Wash ST. whichever one is ranked highest at the end.

The reason a team can play for the NC and not win their own conference is because the only team that can compete with them is in their division. It's not bama or LSU's fault that they are leagues ahead of every other team in america AND every other team with a shot choked against much lesser position.
