Have kiffins ways changed? Is he just getting away with them? Is the NCAA less strict on USC? Why was kiffin getting countless secondary violations while here but none at USC? Was it just something he had to do to get the fire going here? I'm curious

We should worry about ourselves instead of everyone else until we straighten our ship. Really no one cares, if they are doing something wrong, they will eventually get caught.

Wasn't all that long ago that he got a secondary for picking Ambles or somebody up in a limo. Odds are, he's 'not gettin' them now because we're not USC fans and therefore don't hear about it.

That's how Kiff would explain it, and he may have legitimately believed that he had to create controversy. Ultimately, USC is an established program that recruits at a high level. Still, he could be cheating and masking it well. I don't know.

I don't remember him getting "countless" secondary violations here in Knoxville...I remember him getting 6...which is nothing.

According to Kiffin, it is this. Granted, a few secondary violations were probably just instances that were not known by him (the smoke machines, the fake post game conference, etc.). Others were admitted by Kiffin as a way to get the UT brand out to the public.

He said that it took the pressure of the players because he could shoulder the heat and anything good on the field would be considered a plus.

Here is a link of Kiffin talking a little bit about UT:Lane Kiffin talks Bama-LSU, Matt Barkley, Tennessee and much more | al.com

Some of u guys need to give the Kiffin hate a rest. None of us Vol fans like how he left the program. But, to continue to dawg him makes us look like a bunch of desperate fans. Kiffin got his dream job at USC and he would've left Florida if he was their HC at the time. He's a west coast guy! He is a great coach and recruiter. He is smarter than some on here think. Do I respect him...NO. But to continue reading on our sites about how bad of a coach he was is flat out ridiculous.

Why do people keep claiming he is a great coach. He has never accomplished anything as a head coach. He had a decent season at USC with a loaded roster. Anybody could do that. Let's see him prove his worth before we label him a great coach and recruiter. His great recruiting class here really worked out well, didn't it.

When he was here he even acknowledged to get our brand out there he had to push the envelope. At USC their trophy case of National Championships, Heisman Trophys & players drafted in first 2 NFL rounds in recent memory recruits itself.

He already knows all the ins and outs of the recruiting channels in SC. He knows which boosters he can trust, when it is safe to cross the line, etc. He is in his own back yard now, unlike when he was here.

Because when he was here, i believe he knew he wasn't going to stay so he didn't care if he got us on probation. Everyone was excited about his recruiting class he brought in. Look at it now. lol
