Why do I keep seeing headlines on rivals.com that we're courting Nash Nance? I mean, we have Simms and we have Bray. I would think that we need to focus more on keeping those two, instead of enchanting a 2-star QB who's solid to Vandy. Unless this guy is like ... INCREDIBLY underestimated.

Besides, he kind of looks like Toby Flenderson.

Plus, Jim Chaney is really high on him. So while it IS a package offer, Chaney genuinely thinks Nance can succeed at a high level.

Lennon Creer, Darnius Moore
If only one would be here in 2010 who would you have guessed back then.

Darnius?

But for real, if the coaches (especially Chaney) believe this guy has a shot to be a good QB, I'll take him. I'm sure Da'Rick gives Chaney more reason to like him, but if worse comes to worse, at least he provides some depth and competition. Ginger and Lamaison will soon be gone and who knows how long Simms will be around.

If Chaney likes then I will go with him. But what is the difference between this kid and Bo Wallace from TN? Vandy sure could use this kid.

You guys are selling Nance short, I think. This is a kid that is tall, can deliver the ball is football smart and is shifty in the pocket. He has scholly offers to Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi State, West Virginia and interest is growing.

If you read the article you would see where Cheney told the kid he wass underrated and under recruited. He told him his mechanics need work. The kid threw for 3000 yards and 29 TD's .... gotta have some talent playing in his HS division.

I heard Charles Davis say that he was 1 of 7 qb's recruited and signed the year he came to TN. He said all but one ended up playing different positions.

Possible TE according to some.

I could see this. At 6'3", 200 lbs., if he bulked up a little bit he could be a good one. Quarterbacks often make great route runners because they already know most of the routes. I like this idea, especially since we are kinda thin with TE depth right now - no young guys.

i think anyone that thinks this is just a package deal for da'rick rogers is crazy...watch this kids highlight video, he's pretty good. stands in the pocket and delivers a good ball and doesn't run a 5.45 40 time. he's very mobile. holds the ball a little low, but hes a tall guy 200 lbs too in my so very educated opinion lol i think he could be a sleeper.

I think he has broken a few Georgia High School records.Possibly because of who he was throwing it to, but he would be as good as most of the QB's we have right now! I doubt we would take him without Da'Rick ,jmo!!!

Chaney was in this kids house again Monday for an in home visit. We are definitely going after him. I just don't see us going this hard after him unless it is a ploy to get Rogers or they think he will be a great tight end. Just doesn't make sense they would recruit him as a QB with Bray and Simms on board.

i think if Kiff was still the head coach then, no. we wouldnt take this guy without Da'Rick. BUT...i think chaney sees something in this kid that others don't and think he wanted him from the begining with or without him, preferably with him obviously though haha
