I think Dobbs has played fine but why not put in Ferguson for a series or two. Don't give me redshirt BS. There is no way he stays if Dobbs is starter. Dobbs may very well be the better of the two but I'd like to see Ferguson play a little and what is the harm of putting him in down by 22 in the 4th quarter.

No, Dobbs doesn't. He is averaging 1 touchdown a game as starter though..I'm not saying burning the redshirt this late in the season is smart though. With 2 weks to prepare for candy, Riley could get acclimated to the offense. 1 td a game won't cut it rgardless of what the defense or ST do.

Yea I agree this is a waste of a thread! Don't get me wrong I like ferguson. But Dobbs has played fine. He's not the reason we've been losing! It's the defense and special teams. He's playing from behind every week so he has to take a few chances. I'm excited about our future with dobbs! But it all depends on how well out coaches can fix our defense and athleticism the next month and with the recruits next year!

Let's be honest you take 21 points off the board for special teams. Them were only down by like 7-10 points and momentum would have changed things. We could never gain momentum. After jacs int TD we had a chance, but gave momentum back to them and never regained it.

Because we have two games we MUST WIN now and Dobbs needs all of the game snaps he can get to be prepared for them.

We're not getting any better with Ferg. Keep his redshirt.

How stupid can you be?!? Do you really think Furguson will sit the bench 4 years behind Dobbs so that he can start a 5th year?

How do you know Ferguson wouldn't be better? TSR guys have said Ferguson beat Dobbs out before his leg injury. Why not give him a shot and some reps?

Don't get me wrong Dobbs is doing fine. I just think now is the time to give them some reps and evaluate them in games.

Earlier on in the season everybody was clamoring for Dobbs, now it's Ferguson. It's not going to matter. With a crappy O line, horrible coaching and bad play calling We could have Peyton Manning and still would be losing.

It would be a disservice to Ferguson to waste his redshirt now. The season is a loss at this point, so no reason to punish him by wasting a year of his eligibility.

Dobbs hasn't looked great (0 TDs in 2 & a half games), but it's not fair to Ferguson to bring him in in late in a lost season.

I have no problem with Dobbs, but Ferguson might feel like he should transfer while he is still young if he doesn't get in. Does anyone wish that we had redshirted Worley instead of playing him as a freshman?

TSR also said Gruden was coming among other things. They are press and speculating.

Dobbs is not a good passer...her just isn't.... Way too many lib throws and lacks any touch on deep balls and constantly throws high or low...doesn't have the ARM talent nor the killer instinct that we need at qb...and is hesitant to keep the ball on reads...and can't seem to sniff the endzone....I agree would like to see Ferguson..

Nah, Manning is a better coach. This just in, he'll be coaching the Denver offense the rest of the year!

Uh no. Agree with playing Ferguson. Dobbs will stay regardless. Academics are just as important to him.

I've been consistent in saying let Dobbs play the year out. He hasn't lost games for us and does have a lot of potential to improve.

Today it seemed like Butch told Dobbs not to lose. He didn't, but is a work in progress. The problem is that we are deficient in so many other areas that patience isn't easy when the situation requires you to put the game on your qbs shoulders. He's not ready for that yet. In his defense, he's started against two top 10 teams in back to back weeks, opposed to Memphis or the teams Bray started against his freshman year.
