If those idiots that call themselves "The New Black Panther Party" had staged a march thru downtown Knoxville, I believe the number of threads condemning it would've been astronomical. And though I don't post often, I probably would've thrown my 2 cents in to support their 1st amendment right to march while condemning their hatred-filled agenda. What disappoints me is that in a forum where a thead is started about any half-baked story about blacks, hispanics, or muslims with racial connotations, there is not a single comment condemning the views of the group of racists that recently marched thru our fair city.

There was one, we covered this along time ago.

ok, they suck!

but did they break any laws by marching?

No. As I stated, I support their right to march but not their views.

What laws are the people that are planning to build a mosque at ground zero breaking. That doesn't mean I have to like it. And that hasn't prevented people from expressing there views about it on this forum. Nor should it.

they aren't breaking any laws as has been discussed in the NY mosque threads

I guess I'm just not sure where you're going with this. Are you mad there wasn't a thread specifically condemning the march? I doubt you find many on here who agree with their views (or LG would say you won't find many to admit it)

Thanks for correcting me. I didn't recognize it as such due to the title.

Apologies to the to the forum for what has been proven to be an inaccurate post and an incorrect assumption.

No worries.

It read like it was 50 pieces of white trash on one side of the street and a bunch of people on the other. I really don't know what purpsose it served as I can't even remember the name of the protesting group anymore.

I was there for the counterprotest. We outnumbered the NSM tards ~300 to ~60. I'm so proud of my city. I'm not against free speech at all, but I do NOT want that blatant amount of irrational hatred on MY city streets... especially from a group of fascists from a different state.

Plus, the march was cut off early because the Nazis got a little too loud and a little too angry.

The minority was comprised of NSM, White Knights, and your run of the mill racist hicks. The other side was pretty much a lot of locals and a little bit of the ARA.

The NSM was there to complain about immigration and how the AZ bill had a fire lit under its ass.

It really irked me to see the other side bring their children to the rally. I almost threw up when I saw a 6 year-old with a swastika shaved into the side of his head giving the Nazi salute.

The KKK is an ignorant, contemptible group of reactionaries that I would LOVE to see die the death it deserves. OTOH, they aren't allowed to intimidate voters at polling places with impugnity either.

I don't care how many ignorant, lawful "marches" the KKK has or the BP... I do care about equal justice under the law.
