Hope we win this week. That way Verne and Gary will have to visit Knoxville again vs Mizzou or Auburn.

Verne started in 2000. Sean McDonough did the CBS games from 97-99.

Nationally, Lundquist worked for ABC Sports from 1974–81, then moved to CBS (1982–95) and TNT cable (1995–97) before returning to CBS in 1998.

Sean had some good game analysis and in my preference is better than Verne.

Verne is just the Network version of Eli Gold.

Ok. He didn't call college football games until 2000.

Bottom Line here OP .

Verne and Gary .

That is why the Vols hate CBS .

Gary is smart and insightful, and he knows the game of college football inside and out. The problem with Gary Danielson is that no one is more impressed with Gary Danielson than gary Danielson is with Gary Danielson. He's smug and doesn't even attempt to cover up his biases. Waste of talent imo, but he's earning as much as Les Miles anyway. And Verne...he's talentless in my opinion...wouldn't even have a job without Gary

Agree about Danielson. I think Verne is just too old to be doing it. Although if they replace him with Tim Brando, I'll vomit.

Huh. I don't get that from Danielson. But no big deal either way. Verne used to seriously p me off, but now I just laugh as his dum arse. :)

We have the most appearances of any team with a losing record on CBS. Just one less than UGA and five less than Bama and LSU. They were dreadful to watch when Tebow was in college. No matter who was playing they drooled his name repetitively.

CBS normally picks up the marquee game for any given week, so being a tad below .500 isn't actually that horrible. I'm betting that we'd be over .500 if you only counted through 2007. The past six years have killed us.

The Florida losses have piled up for sure.

Verne wore out his welcome when it became obvious he had developed an unhealthy sexual attraction to Tim Tebow

Maybe if Butch Davis continues to run the ball with Raijon Lane a bit more and can win a game against Aaron Murphy at Florida- Verne may love us more and get us on TV in primetime.

I hate it when We actually do something good and Verne is surprised ...

" Look at this ! " or " Wow " or Pronounces the name wrong of the Player.

Verne is a knucklehead and bias to the better teams.

Gary knows what he's talking about. He just drops little jabs at UT all the time. andd I don't like it one bit .
