Why would any RB wanna go to Florida?

Yea because winning 2 National Championships will help a RB at Florida get to the NFL. :eek:lol:

Percy Harvin average over 9 yards a carry for his career. That's a decent reason to go.

Who said all high schools think they'll be playing in the NFL? Besides, name a top RB recruit with real NFL chances who has committed to Florida anyway.

Wow, the idiocy of this comment hurts. What does having Tebow as a QB have to do with a RB wanting to come to Florida?

Not that much of a bad comment, actually. Tebow did hurt the amount of love RB's got at UF. Tebow was the only one under Meyer that went for 1,000 yards.

IMO, RB's go to UF because of several reasons. First, UF has won 2 Natl. Championships in the past few years - this brings in a lot of good in-state talent, well, talent period. Second, RB's get a lot of attention in the style of offense they run. They may not get the ball every down, but they impact a lot of plays. Moody and Demps were in on the same play many times today, for example. All the RB's get reps in the games and they have a shot to make an impact on the game.

Now that Tebow is gone, RB's are going to get a little more attention in the future. Meyer likes the running QB and won't go away from that completely, but the RB is the key to his offense. Without Demps, UT has a much better chance today (of course, TO's played a much bigger role). He utilizes the run out of the backfield so much, RB's like the attention.

Urban Meyer hasnt had 1 RB rush for a 1,000 yards while he has been at Florida.

Urban Meyer hasn't had a 1000 yard rusher ANYWHERE he's been a head coach. Tebow isn't the reason, its just not how Urban rolls.

One of the top rushing RBs in the NFL is from Tennessee, and I can't think of a RB from Florida that is doing worth anything right now in the NFL. I've always argued this, but Meyer seems to have 3 good ones down there right now, but other than Moody I don't see the other two playing RB in the NFL. They can play slot receiver though.

Emmanuel Moody sucks.

Champ. Rings? Beaches. It's warm. Other than the fact that UF is in Gainesville, there's not a lot negative for a young kid in H.S.

I don't see how a kid could pass up playing in Knoxville for Gainesville. Gainesville may have beaches, but Knoxville has volcanoes and a tropical rainforest. The scenery is marvelous, plus there's always a chance of procuring a piece of dried lava.
