Auburn only to hire Strong?

Does anyone think he has a great plan he is working or is he botching this hire?

He can't make a decision so he is letting others fill their positions and taking whomever is left it seems. I sure hope not but this is dragging on to long.

Everyone needs to chill. There was no scooping. Just bc other programs are hiring their coaches doesn't mean we have to hurry. We sure as hell weren't going after Malzahn and I think we were not looking in the direction of BB. Patience.

Well after hearing all year that if Hart had to fire Dooley that his first choice would be Smart and then hearing him say in the press conference that he was willing to wait til mid december to hire someone I'm starting to get this sickly feeling that were being duped. I'm starting to believe Harts plan all along was to do whatever it took to hire Smart. The boosters wanted Gruden, so he made up every excuse he could to not get him. He's not really interviewing many coaches that are realistic(fedora and mora being 1st year coaches, Fisher in a stable job) the only realistic one is Strong and noone can decide if he's even been interviewed. It just seems like he's doing everything he can to slow down this process and make sure every single better candidate is already hire to another job and then he's gonna pop and with Smart basically saying he is the best coach left that hadn't taken another job and then force him down our throat with some bs about how we he needs our support to turn things around and we all need to support him or we don't support the players and other we need to love him or itll hurt the program crap.

For the love of God stop this garbage. We have not even interviewed Smart. Volnation=tin foil hat nation.

And Strong is quite possibly the best of all the coaches that are being hired.

Yep, just like three years ago when Dooley was quite possibly the best guy, but no one knew it.

I don't hate Strong. I think he's an above average coach. But I can't imagine anyone taking him over Bielema.

I can't remember anyone saying Dooley was the best guy. An above average coach is about what Bielema was too. He has a good school to work from and Strong has Louisville to work with so you can't really compare the two.

Dooley was a surprise hire, and a reach.

Strong has long been considered a top candidate for many programs. He has turned Louistinkingville into a winning team, and if he can do that, he is pretty freaking talented.

Beilema is a first class doooshbag and has mismanaged the end of many games including the last two reg season games -v- Mich State (see dooley -v- mizzery...but not quite as stupid)

IMO the scoop would be Arky pulling a top notch coach no one though was in play while Tennessee settles for Strong after a 2 + week search.

Strong is an OK coach and may do fine, but if you are going to settle for him, it shouldn't take 2+ weeks.

BB >>>> Strong

Just smells of Hart botching this hire.
