It has been a while since we earned the title, but it seems we are on our way. It is necessary (usually) in the SEC to have a respectable ground game and that can only help the aerial attack. But I, for one, am happy to see us returning to Wide Reciever U days. There is nothing more exciting than a wide open attack piling up the points. We need to get our swagger back! GO BIG ORANGE!:dance2: :clapping:

i too am glad to see a strong air attack. Kinda like UT basketball last year was more exciting due to the style of play. I like it and it think it will be more sucessful then our run it up the middle on 3rd and long randy sanders style.

The passing game definitely looks better. Not only pitching and catching but the downfield blocking, finding open spots in zones, YAC's.. all the little things that were missing last yr.

I like seeing the Vols throw it down field. But I also like seeing them run the ball and breaking the will of the other team. GO VOLS!!!

I think what will really help in re-establishing that is the fact we have Hancock and Vinson coming in next year to keep things going for Ainge.

when meach runs after the catch, I swear he looks just like peerless. he holds the ball the same, same body lean ;just a carbon copy. maybe a hair slower than p.p

Oh this is fun, Meachem and Smith were awesome tonight. Does anybody know how Swain's ankle is?

Smith had to step up since they were all over Meach and Swain. Meach still got 98 and worked for every yard.

it's like night and day from last year. hats off to the team this week for coming back from behind and putting on an arial attack that has been long overdue.

I hope it is minor. We need the guy in there.

I think this group (Meachum, Swain, Smith) are the best recievers in the country. Maybe one of the best groups we have had. I know that is a big statment but i think there is no way to match up with these guys. look at last night. You double Meachum and Swain, Smith eats you up over the middle. You man up we throw a 5 yard hitch and let Meachum run for forty yards. If Anige has time your dead. All the talk has been Meachum and Swain but all Smith does is make big catch after big catch. I can't count how many big third down catches the guy has made. These guys have always had the talent they are just now getting a chance to show it under Cutcliffe and Taylor. I hope Meachum stays one more year it will pay off for him as well as us.

Bummer about Swain.

Thankfully they've got Smith who had a big game last night, plus Taylor, Rogers, Briscoe, etc.
