This may sound strange, but I think Wilhoit missing the PAT may have been a blessing in disguise. Florida moved the ball all night long, and I'm not sure we could have won if we'd gotten into an overtime shootout with them.

What does everybody think?

easy to 2nd guess it now, I think the blessing came from seeing the team hang in there afterwards to bring back a victory.

I think being down by a point and having less than a minute pushed Fulmer and Ainge to take more chances on moving the ball faster. The game would obviously be quite different if it went to OT.

Yeah, there's nothing quite like a minute to with no timeouts and 50 yards to cover to make the coaches open up the ole offense. :D

Yep. I learned this strategy from many hours of Halo tournaments: if you have a shotgun, use it!

Ainge was great. Who knows about the extra piont. That very well could be but TN showed alot of class in not giving up. It seemed they just wanted it more. What scared me the most was if the personal foul had been called on TN it would have been first down Florida and most likey the game. I hope we don` cut it that close again. GREAT GAME. GO VOLS!. Also with all the bull about the bad call.Do you think TN will still move up? I think we should at least be 10th or 12th,what do you guys think?

It's not the only game against Florida where there has been a game deciding, questionable call!

What year was it when Florida got a touchdown, but it was questionable as to whther or not he had possession when he crossed the line? Anyone know how it changed the rankings?

Just compiled a few statistics from ESPN.

QB head-to-head matchup:

Erik Ainge vs. Matt Leinart

Code:
Player  RECORD CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA TD INT SACK RAT   ATT YDS AVG  TD
Leinart 3-0    61  95  739 64.2 7.8 7  1   4    151.8 18  53  2.9  1
Ainge   2-0    26  41  310 63.4 7.6 5  1   0    162.3 2   -1  -0.5 0
Ainge is matching stats with a fairly strong Heisman contender. How uplifting. :D Hopefully this will withstand throughout the season.
