Will be most interesting to see Heupel's offense and defense against Georgia

It’s going to be epic no matter what. Smart is a defensive guy Heupel is an offensive guy.
Something has to give come Saturday. It will come down to which team can impose its will on the other one.
I think Hooker is a much better leader than Bennett. He has no quit in him. Watch out for Georgia trying to make a dirty play to take him out early.

Back in the day for tough games we always used extra stickum and extra pins in the sweat pads.

Heupels not old school but he can feel free to use em if he wants.

Once this year is over…
This season will be recognized as one of the best coaching performances in the history of the SEC.

Completely agree.

One of the many Hooker stories was that he was an early convert to Heupel's system, and he pushed the rest of the team to stick with it. That means Hendon has a bone deep understanding of this offense and basically sees it through Coach's eyes.

That coupled with Heupel's genius play calling is going to make it a long afternoon for the GA defense.

Here's a thought I had .... In coaches meetings, I wonder if Heup and the OC draw up a play and then ask the def coordinator and coaches how they would defend it. After they answer, Heup and the offensive gurus throw a wrinkle into that play (such as the Tillman/Hyatt switch up like we saw Saturday night). Result: mismatch and confusion on the defense, leaving Hyatt wide open down the sideline. This also gives the defensive coaches a lesson in thinking outside the box. No doubt, the defense of Tennessee has improved pretty much each game and they've changed personnel up to exploit their individual strengths. This group of coaches we have, appear to be working very close with each other towards a common goal .... For Tennessee to be the best they can be and it looks like its working.

The man had teeth knocked out and kept playing. You’ll have to kill him to keep him off the field.

Can our defense play as well against the dawgs? I believe that’s the question. They played better than they have all year Saturday night. I believe what’s going on with the offense is starting to bleed over to the defense. If they can no one will stop us

Georgia is going to throw into the middle making our LB’s cover their TE and RB. They hope that will open up the run. They’re probably right. Our biggest weakness is LB’s in coverage on slants and middle two coverage. Our safeties like to walk up to cover the run on first down. That’ll be hard against them. They’ll also flood our short zone in the middle to get quick passes. They want to negate our pass rush with quick shots to the TE, and then throw long when we bring a safety to cover it. Obviously our coaches are way more aware of this, but it’s going to be a hard matchup. Our pass rush has created a lot of pressure throws, sacks and even interceptions. Playing against a pro set with a great TE will be really hard to pressure until we adjust. Let’s hope we adjust.

Would doubt it if the TE get featured for Georgia. That would be another wrinkle you could throw the Georgia D off with. This game also feels like a BRU game.
Yeah I got that feeling too....I think they asre going to be focused on Tillman and Hyatt and he is going to be running free out there...That kid is aggressive and tough, I like how he fights for every yard he can get after the catch.

Kentucky used an interesting defensive set on the obvious passing situations. They had 4 CBs, 1 safety, and 1 LB. Against Heupel's offense, you do whatever is necessary to match up. I think we'll see something similar from Kirby. He's got the talent to mix and match if he can get the right mix of players on the field. Of course, subbing against the Vols isn't easy and very risky. Hooker generally gets off the snap before the defensive players can leave the field. Gotta love it!!!

Adjusting is what they do in the "bend but don't break" D
Hope they have to settle for three most all game

Bend don't break isn't really what we do. We actually take a pretty high risk strategy of blitzing and run blitzing that has the potential to give up big plays. Our last swing at bend don't break was Florida, and it was disaster. We haven't played soft zone since. Given our personnel, I explained the adjustments we have at our disposal. Our LB's are slow in coverage, particularly in the middle. They won't get faster by Saturday. If we walk up a safety into coverage, we are giving up long passes and run lanes, and Georgia has great backs and a monster TE. Georgia is a hard matchup for us. I absolutely trust Banks to have a good plan, but this is a tough one.
