Will Cheney Have to Step Down?

I am no Constitutional Lawyer, however, if Cheney were to step down, wouldn't the new VP have to be approved by both Houses of Congress?

GWB might not even be able to pass a Republican through...

Well there is leverage. Bush is already in the negative. He can always hold the Dems up on anything moving through Congress. He basically has little to loose now at this point and has much to gain.

you're right, section 2 of the 25th Amendment provides for just that.

I think it would also depend on the Republican. If Bush were to nominate a RINO like Arlen Specter or Lindsay Graham, their nomination would likely sail through.

I hope with all of that money Lindsay is making that he has a nicer law office and campaign office. That place was truly a dump.
