You think Crompton will get a series or two? Or he could see action in mop up time. :biggrin2:

I don't think Fulmer et al will be ready to throw him out there this early, against this caliber an opponent. Coming off an injury, my guess is that they'll work him in a few series during the AF or Marshall games, once the outcome is no longer in question.

I think the Cal game will be tight (one way or the other) and that Ainge will go all the way. Honestly, if we see anyone else in the pocket, this season might be another LONG one.

i hope not. I hope we start 1 QB for the whole game every week unless injury. If a guy loses his spot he loses his spot but the other guy plays the whole game.

I don't think so. If we start this 2 QB crap again, I'm heading for the exit and I'm not coming back until we get a solid QB.

I see JC getting in, but then again, I also see us beating Cal by enough that JC gets some scrub minutes.

Granted if we see Crompton it'll be bacause Ainge is either injured physically or his confidnce is shattered. I hope neither happens but could Crompton be the Daryl Dickey of this generation? Forced under center due to extreme circumstances and perform brilliantly? I'd rather not find out, I hope Ainge gets new mechanics and footwork that'l along with a year of maturity make him the rifleman we need him to be. But Cromton was scholarshipped to be a gunslinger, heres to hopin he will be. We'll need a back-up QB before the year is out and its better to find out what he is and isnt early, so if perhaps in the SEC title game against LSU or maybe Auburn if he has to come in the offense isn't so watered down.

Two ways. Either a mop up role which is unlikely (wishful thinking), and or if EA throws a third interception.

I hope he doesn't play cause that means either..Ainge is hurt..Getting killed..Ainge sucks..Winning big..(doubtful)

Based on what I've read, he's still not ready to play. If the 2nd team QB needs to go in for a series, it most likely would be Bo Hardegree. Supposedly thats keeping Fulmer and Co. awake at night.

I hope Ainge has the game that will be talked about for years, that opened the door for his NFL career. However, I keep thinking of the performance he gave in last years LSU game. :scare:

I don't Crompton getting in there, even if we are leading by a comfortable margin late in the game. Why would you risk getting him injured any moreso than EA? If we are in a situation to send anyone in for "mop up", which I doubt will happen, IMO it will be Hardegree handing the ball off to Coker or Hardesty. You might see Compton take some snaps against Air Force or Marshall.

We wont see Crompton against Cal. He will probably get some mop up in the Air Force and Marshall games. I have to disagree with VH though. It's always good to get your #2 QB some reps if we have a comfortable lead. He's only one torn acl or seperated shoulder away from being the starter.

Yeah, I see your point. I guess in my way of thinking, if the game is won why would you risk losing a guy that you may have to have later in the season? If healthy, he'll get his chances this season though.
