anyone think he will or won't?

if he does somehow win, Nevada deserves all their high unemployement. of course the union thugs will probably get him elected.

Lets hope so. If the Dems can retain the Senate, then I would love to see Jim Webb as Majority Leader. On fiscal issues, he is on the other side of the spectrum with most of the current Congressional democrats.

He's done. In the aftermath, we will see a slap and tickle fight between Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin for majority leader.

it's always a sure sign of a losing argument when the only effective offense you can mount is calling your opponent an "effing nutcase". Unfortunately, the tactic normally works on morons who vote for democrats like Harry Reid.

I'd never vote for captain BS, but thanks for the unwarranted presumption.

The woman validates abortion by claiming rape and incest are parts of God's plan. Don't insult MY intelligence for calling some crazy haint out on her crap.

*It's a sure sign of mental impotence when someone defends Sharron Angle.

actually, what she said was that a pregnancy that came about as the result of rape or incest was part of God's plan (ie a blessing, since most, if not all, Christians believe that a child is innocent of the sins of the parents). It's an easy sentiment to distort, but I understand what she was trying to say.

This is exactly why moral issues need to be taken out of national politics... Yep, it's a fairly extreme opinion but on the same sense is an extreme opinion on something that will not change at all that worth throwing the baby out with the bathwater?

Agree, the mud slinging over social views take the forefront, mainly from the left when they have no good argument to make for their stand on matters of substance.

When things go bad, bring up abortion.

Well it's been used as a smoke screen now for years. Hey I'm pro (whatever cause) vote for me! Then they get there and spend like a drunken sailors anyway. I really do believe in a lot of these causes but:

A- they have been exploited for one's own political gain.
B- Most of these issues really need to be left to the states to decide for themselves.

unfortunately he deserves to but won't lose. Just wish there was a competent opponent and he would have been beaten badly

This is an honest, sincere question as I really don't know Angle all that well: but what makes her not qualified. IE another direction for this: What makes Harry Ried more qualified?

That is still an immensely stupid thing to say. The woman's press conference behavior, her debate performances, and the other weird things she has said (Sharron Angle Quotes - Top 10 Ridiculous Sharron Angle Quotes) have turned me off, along with the fact that I don't support uber-religious folks taking major public office. It's just not safe anymore.

I just think anyone who holds an opinion like THAT isn't quite right in the head. She's almost as nutty as O'Donnell. I could really give a rat's ass about her policy... it's the decisions that she might be crazy enough to make AFTER she takes office that scare me.

It was more of an attack on her erratic behavior than an attack on her pro-life philosophy. I actually recently posted in another thread about how abortion is a decade or two from being completely moot as the likelihood of RvW being overturned is slim to none.

Trust me, I can't stand Harry Reid, but I do NOT want nutjobs like Bachmann, O'Donnell, and Angle taking/retaining office.

It's a terrible time to be neither Democrat nor Republican.

Looks like Angle is gonna win, but O'Donnell has zero chance. Lesser of two evils, it seems.

Neither of them are necessarily close to being qualified for the job. Sad truth.

Some of the folks coming out of the TP are pretty interesting, to say the least, but on the grand scheme, they are simply a polar shift of the guy at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Not a great situation in either case.

In either case, the last ten years have given good evidence that a gridlocked congress is in our best interest, as having one party capable of running amok is a bad thing.

History proves you right. This lopsided fluctuation is really hurting, though. When do you think we'll reach congressional equilibrium again?

I can't see it happening, the national candidates have been creeping outward. The references to "enemies" are pretty shocking, but perhaps that shows the true state of our political scene. Don't pigeonhole me into saying its a democratic problem, as the right is guilty as well.

what are you talking about. if you study any history, morality has always played apart in history. read what our founding fathers said about a moral and Godly nation.
