Will Hillary Try Again in 2012

If the dems get their butts kicked in November like it appears they will, I could see this happening. If she resigns within the next 6 months or so I will be really suspicious.

I remember when all the conservatives thought Hillary was the worst thing ever.

Haha, oh how the times have changed.

funny, hussein is needing clinton to help with economic growth. what did clinton do? raise taxes, which was the beginning of the downturn of the economy.

If Hillary was to resign before the next election there is exactly zero chance she won't be running again.

I don't see her doing it though, I'm not sure she would do it though, it would create a rift in the party and make the chances of a republican winning the presidency more likely.

I think she has a real shot. I believe even a lot of hard core democrats regret their primary vote. While I do think she's more towards the center than Obama, I just know she won't be near as "mild" (or moderate for the LG's out there) as Bill was.

I disagree, nominating Hillary would give them a better chance of winning, Barry stands little to no chance of getting re elected.

If things continue as they are with Obama... this will likely be the outcome anyway. My guess would be the Clintons (you better bet Bill would be involved) are already checking things out behind the scenes within the Democratic party.

I don't see it happening unless she resigns... I know she's practically salivating to run, but probably not 'til 2016. Who knows?

At this point it's starting to become a safe bet that Obama is the new Carter. Now the democrats staid united when they went ahead and voted him back in instead of Kennedy, and they paid... dearly. I'm not so sure they would be willing to make that mistake again. They may be but I don't know. Especially with how they basically have thrown their cohorts in congress to the wolves. There may be a few disgruntled people out there after this cycle.

If the economy turns around, he's going to win again, even if it doesn't have a damn thing to do with any of his policies.

Possibly, but with the Bush tax cuts expiring I predict the economy gets worse, not better. If I had to bet money today, I would bet he loses. But 2 years is a long time.

I hope he loses, but who knows what can happen. If the economy turns around at all, the undecided voters who generally decide elections could certainly be too stupid to differentiate a cyclical improvement of the economy from Obama's leftist economic tendencies.

I agree, in politics anything can happen with more than 2 years to go.

This is what drives me mad that people can't understand. There are going to be natural ups and downs in the economy no matter who is President or what economicpolicies are coming from DC. Unfortunately some downturns are going to be worse than others.

It really is. But Pres. Obama does not have the political savvy Bill Clinton had (and neither does his wife) and unlike Clinton, he would fight way more than he should and it would end up blowing up in his face. Yes, I know Clinton was dragged kicking and screaming, but in the end he "caved" and raked most of the credit.

Other speculation was that she will replace Biden as VP in 2012 and set up for 2016.

Given she is a Clinton, she will do whatever positions her best to be POTUS.

If Obama's approval ratings drop further or unemployment stays as is for another year to year and 1/2 I could see her doing this.

Hillary is no spring chicken, and the same people on her team that called McCain "too old" in 2008 are going to look a tad hypocritical (I know, since when has that stopped the left) if she waits until 2016.

it was already taking Herculean effort to make her camera appearances anything but cringe evoking. I'm not sure there is a modern word in use to help us understand the effort level that future attempts will take.

I never thought I would live to see the day where Hillary Clinton would run as a moderate democrat.
