I've read several articles that say that Kurt will be suspended for this upcoming week's race at Pocono. I don't really believe he will, but I have read some things that say he will. But I believe he will be given a 100 point penalty and a large fine. I guess we'll see soon.

I think he deserves a min of 2 race suspension....he is lucky he is not in jail for killing someone. I don't recall anything really like this happening before so Nascar will have to make up the penalty and here's to hoping it's a harsh one.

The only reason they would is if they want to make an example out of him.

It won't do any good, anyway. All the talk about Kurt maturing and growing up is just that, talk. He'll probably never change.

However, if they didn't suspend Stewart or R. Gordon for turning guys around on pit road after Bristol races in consecutive years when there are even more people vulnerable, I don't see how they can suspend Kurt.

I don't really think they will, but going back to early this year, they fined Junior 100 points and suspended Eury for what I felt was way to much, so maybe they're going to start enforcing lengthier punishments.

If they would have suspended him, they would have done it on Tuesday or early Wednesday, thus, I don't think it's going to happen.

I heard that the reason that they didn't do it yesterday was because of the race being pushed back a day so they were going to wait an extra day, but I agree that they won't suspend him.

My friend Tidwell we FINALY agree on something Nascar..lol...I like Kurt but it was a very stupid thing he did on pit road. But like you said if they don't do anything to guys like Stewart,Robby Gordon or others that have wrecked people on pit road after races then there is no way Kurt should be parked.

no. he didn't do anything dumber than anybody else has done.

i also think he had a right to be pissed at Smoke. had the crew member not been right there, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

Nice point. Tony always pisses and moans about give and take, but he takes alot more than he gives. He reminds me of the 1st grade bully who becomes a 'good guy' in 5th grade when all the other kids are as big as him.

He should have been suspended for one race, but if they haven't done it by now I doubt they will do it. Doing it tomorrow would leave Penske in a bind trying to find a driver for Sunday.

It won't be hard for Penske to find a driver. If nothing else there is about 20 Busch Series guys that would kill for the ride for one Sunday. Then you have guys like Mike Wallace or they might even try Stephen Wallace?

If Montoya, Stewart, and Stephen were all racing together then anyone within 10 seconds of them should immediately pull into the pits.

lol...No more than you would with guys like Stewart and Montoya

Yeah, the two most talented drivers in NASCAR are right on par with a tourette's-riddled driver who has proved nothing other than he can wreck cars.

Montoya is over aggressive. Wallace is uncontrollable, and Stewart has the best car control of anyone, but he loses his mind and does things that are completely stupid.

I agree Tony is VERY talented but it doesn't take much "talent" to wreck anyone in your way......

P.S.: I knew we would stop seeing eye to eye soon..lol

Exactly. Steven Wallace wrecks because of a lack of talent. Tony Stewart wrecks because he will lose his cool. Surely we can differentiate between the two. I love how you slam Stewart every time he has an incident but never mention anything when one of your 27 favorite drivers cause an accident.

Stewart is one of my favorite drivers and even I'll admit he does stupid stuff and perhaps should have been suspended a couple times in his career. Meanwhile, I don't understand how Stephen Wallace is even allowed on the reacetrack. He's absolutely terrible.

I feel sorry for Steven. You can tell Rusty is really pushing him along and he's just not ready. He's quick and he may turn out OK in the end, but his confidence is being ruined at an early age.

yeah, Rusty has not handled the situation with Stephen at all. He should have allowed him to race in the Arca a little bit longer instead of trying to bring him up so quick.

Back up there pal, I'll be the first one to admitt when one of my "27" drivers do something stupid. As you know I like Edwards and often is way to aggresive. I'll give you that Smokie has more natural skills than probably anyone in all of racing. That's even more reason for him to be hel accountable when he wrecks someone weekly.
