Probably is going to depend on (1) what Ellen has left in the tank, which also goes hand in hand with whether or not the Weekly's keep her on the bench to save her for the NCAA tournament and (2) minimizing defensive errors in the field to back her up.

The team has lost its focus a little. But, might not necessarily indicate a bad ending. If they can refocus for the post season they might be able to run right back to the final eight.

If TN drops 2 of 3 against KY, don't look for them to be in the top 4 for the tournament. That makes it very difficult to win the tournament.

We had a tremendous first half of season but have been sputtering lately. No hitting in game one of series--happened three straight times--and then Renfroe has struggled. Maybe both she and the team are tired, don't know. Pitching is a concern because come tourney time you will face good pitchers and even good hitting teams like ours will be held to few runs in some games. Need to win game 1 today, for a change.

The coaches have been throwing a lot of wrinkles at the team like line-up switches and changes. It seems like he's really trying to stress them. Must be by design to make them tougher and then come together. He did that last year too but they were more veteran and responded quicker. Let's see if it works.

State will make the NCAA tourney...the SEC will have 11 teams make the tourney which will be a record I believe

I think they should give Renfroe the week off. She is not as consistent as she was earlier in the season, and I think she may be a little burned out. This week should not be that difficult, and it doesn't matter if they lose one now. I am concerned about the future, as our other pitchers (Gabriel, Gaffin and Tarango) have not shown any consistency, and we don't have a top notch pitcher coming in. I am not sure what the deal is, it seems we can get great hitters, but are falling short on recruiting pitching, and that is the most important part of the game. They will have the off-season to work with the current group, so hope they can get that fixed.
