I haven't heard hide or hair about when Phase 2 will begin and what it will entail. I'm wondering if this is going to be one of those Danny White surprise announcements.

But if we're not doing it this offseason, it would seem like a huge missed opportunity.

1) This is the earliest senior day we will have. Probably the earliest in my lifetime. Having your last game on November 12 allows 2 extra weeks to get things done before next year. Great opportunity to do the structural big work that needs to be done.
2) Why would we put it off? The South and East facades and concourses need work badly. Just do it. People are excited. Ticket sales are hot. Donations seem to be coming in.

Any word on this?

Detailing what's new and what's next in Neyland Stadium's renovation plan

ON THE NEXT PHASE OF RENOVATIONS

“Next year, as soon as this season, and even during parts of this year, we’ll start that demolition and abatement of the south concourse. That’s a three-year process for us to be able to excavate and then build that out. It will take it from a 13-foot wide concourse area to 36-feet wide. It will mirror what is on the west concourse. Connectivity I know is a really big thing with our fans. And for us, we talk about modernizing all the time, to have WiFi in Neyland Stadium, it will happen. It’s a goal of ours, whether that’s in 12 months or 24 months, 36. We’ll get that plan and be sure to communicate that out. That’s goal No. 1 of our administration, to get connectivity throughout Neyland Stadium and our other venues as well.

Neyland Stadium renovation restarts as Vols football plays road games

"Construction has restarted in and around Neyland Stadium now that Tennessee's home football schedule is over.

The south end of the stadium has been fenced off. Construction crews are cleaning out and demolishing dorm rooms and offices in multiple levels of the old South Stadium Hall dorm structure, which opened in 1948.

Also, the south end of Neyland Stadium will be shored up structurally and prepared for utility work in the summer.

Tennessee played its final home game against Missouri last week. It will finish the regular season with road games at South Carolina and Vanderbilt and play the postseason at a neutral site.

Construction will continue until the Vols’ 2023 home opener in September. It continues the first phase, which is expected to be done in fall 2026."
