I personally think he is done at UT. Hopefully Fulmer will bring in some new blood. But I expect Cutcliff will be in the picture somewhere. I'd like something new but at this point Cutcliff seems like a wonderful idea.

We can only hope. I have been a supporter of Sanders for a while, after all, the play against alabama was a excellent call and should have been a TD but C.A. fumbled. that is not the coaches fault. But too too many times, we have underacheieved offensively. Too man times. that has to be blamed on the coach and play selection. I know fulmer is proud of his loyalty and time his coaches stay together, but its time for a change. It not at the top, then it has to start with the OC. Thank GOd for our defense. Keep up the great work guys. GO VOLS :(

As much as I'd like to think he'll be gone, I don't think CPF will get rid of him unless his hand gets forced.

Is it time for Coach Chavis to pull a Buddy Ryan on Sanders? :D :bash:

I think Hamilton will make Fulmer fire Sanders, but looking at how big of *** Hamilton looks like I don't know if he'd have the balls to tell anyone what to do.

hamilton did make the tough move of getting rid of the bb coach which was obviously needed and did a good job of hiring a competent coach it appears.

I think Hamilton is smarter then people think. I think in 3 years he offers fulmer a job as an assistant A.D. or tells him to pack his bags. Hamilton knows the football program is going in the wrong direction right now. The next couple of years will be brutal.

Probably not. When Fulmer hinted that change was coming, I think that he was just talking about wearing a different pair of boots or running left instead of right.

I think Sanders will be demoted. That is just my suspicion. I think the guy should be let go totally, as he never was a great position coach anyway.

You are probably right. I may be wrong, but I don't see any change coming soon. I don't think Fulmer is proactive enough to make any changes. :fool:

I've said it before, and I'll say it until I'm dead. Our O has a play book with about two pages in it. Up the middle, to the left, end of book. How does PF expect to win against anyone when it's so obvious what running plays we have? I say fire RS and don't let the door hit his ass on the way out.

Fulmer may fire Washington and Stephens, but I don't see him getting rid of Sanders (believe it or not).

They are like conjoined twins (Siamese Twins). When a medical decision is made to surgically separate them, the surgeons have to decide what major organs they share. I am afraid in this case Fulmer and Sanders share the same brain and both will have to be sacrificed to save the program!!

Sanders is Fulmers protege. Sanders has never worked for any other coach, he played for Fulmer as the O.C. Fulmer was suppose to nuture him as the O.C. and then Sanders would take off to be a coach somewhere else.

The really good coaches in the nation, i.e. the bobby bowdens, bob stoops, pete carroll's, etc want to have their coaches leave and be head coaches elsewhere etc. Its a source of pride, it improves your reputation as a coach if your assistants go on to become successful head coaches.

This is a big step for Fulmer. To be able to admit he cant develop coaches like that. That he needs to hire assistant coaches to run his program because he cant get it done and needs help. Its a serious blow to his ego. That he needs help coaching the offense and that he needs to learn a new system.

I thought our O playbook had 1 page up the middle,he has to make a change & get some new blood in there and it needs to be someone outside the ut family, sanders and washington
need to go no doubt!

No, nor do I think he should be. For all of those who constantly crap on him, Randy is a good FB coach and good recruiter. However, I think he could be reassigned to another position such as solely QB coach, WR receiver coach or Special Teams coach - all with the same pay he now receives.

BTW, David Cutcliff is not coming back to Tennessee or anywhere else as an assistant coach so get over it. Mike Hamilton isn't telling PF to take a hike in 3 years, because 3 years from now Tennessee will be SEC champions and in the running for NC honors. This is simply a horrible year for Tennessee after 16 consecutive good years and nothing more. For pete sake the talent level isn't bare, this is still one of the top FB programs in the country and they will rebound from this season. If Alabama had done what a few wanted back in 1970 Bear Byrant would have been fired after consecutive 6-5 seasons and the Tide would not have enjoyed the success they had from 1971-1981 when they basically owned the SEC and were voted NCs three times.

I think out of the two, Sanders would do much better just coaching a position.

*NEWSFLASH* Randy Sanders is already the QB coach, and he has shown that he is not capable of developing or teaching QBs. The regression that Ainge has shown this season is a clear example. Hopefully he will not be allowed anywhere near the QBs next season, if he is still around. If anything we should demote Sanders back to RB coach, let TT coach the WRs, and find another OC and QB coach.

Hamilton is a wuss. He will not do anything until Haslam or someone with money makes him do something.
