That's probably a question many have. It's not every year we pull 5* recruits, yet this year we may land 2. Our recruiting class could end up close to the top 5, and should be top 10 atleast if we close with Nichols. So...should we expect Cuonzo to continue the same success going forward?

The hurdle will be this...can he have success on a national level, and not just Tennessee. Reality is, it helps with guys like Hubbs and Nichols that they're from Tennessee and not say Michigan, or California etc etc. So can he have success recruiting nationally?

The obvious answer here is WIN. If you win it really will help, however...after only one year Cuonzo is making his mark and having some early success on a national level with future recruits.

2014...5* top 10 player Kevon Looney named Tennessee as the school coming after him hardest in a recet video interview.

2016...josh Langford is considered the #1 player in 2016, he named Tennessee as the school that's standing out to him the most.

**NEITHER PLAYER IS FROM TENNESSEE**

Call me an optimist, or say I'm drunk on Martin-Aide...but I really think he might be on his way to bringing Tennessee somewhere we've never seen before.

Bleed - let's call it Drinking the MARTINi. I believe CCM will recruit according to needs each year. But as you say if he is winning it becomes noticeable, especially when you're knocking off ranked teams. That gets you TV time and you know what that does for you recruiting wise.

Really believe he will pull 5 star guys with more consistency than what we've ever experienced but I don't know if he will necessarily HAVE to year in year out. The guys he is getting all have that NBA potential but also have good heads on their shoulders and academics mean something to them. They won't necessarily all be one and doners. He will take his share of the Hubbs' and Landrys' in the future I'm sure. The guys he's in on in the future is definitely encouraging. Agree, too, that national recruiting will tell a lot in years to come.

This will be the first of many top 10-15 classes for Coach Martin

Maybe a lil bit of both.
UT is fortunate they found a coach whos willing to put in a lot of leg work on the recruiting trail.

I think this could be the norm. Win this year and a nice run into the tourney. Then next year we will have some higher expectations and keep winning. Players will come!

I've been lurking for too long. And basketball is just around the corner. Time to get back in the saddle.

Can't wait to see the product that Martin puts on the floor this year. Finally back in Knoxville for this season, too. No more watching it from Delaware!
