I know some people have asked this question in jest or anger, thinking that somehow the Lady Vols will get on a roll and get a high seed. But, seriously I'm looking at the best case scenario for the Lady Vols as finishing 18-11.
Here's how I see it:
Definite losses
Notre Dame - a 30-point-plus debacle waiting to happen
South Carolina - the new power in the SEC
Kentucky - Our girls can't handle the thugs
Mississippi State - up and coming
Probable losses
Auburn -- They beat Kentucky
Texas A&M -- had a bad loss to Arkansas but they are ranked and have beaten ranked teams in Duke and Oklahoma.
Coin Toss
Arkansas twice -- Did I mention they beat A&M
Georgia -- 0-2 in SEC but both opponents were ranked
Vandy twice -- we'll lose at least one of these
Probable wins (and none of these are gimmes)
Ole Miss
LSU
Alabama twice
18-11 probably gets them in the Big Dance but they'll meet a No. 1 seed a lot sooner than normal. Of course, they could implode and end up with a losing record.
Any thoughts?
