If the Tigers win the BCSCG in a close one with two losses, what are the chances that the AP voters or the coaches annoint OU or USC if either of those teams lays a complete smackdown on their bowl opponent (something that I think either of them could do)?

Even worse...what happens when UGA puts a 40 point smackdown on Hawaii...

I know people want to talk about how explosive Hawaii's offense is...but they barely beat a pathetic Washington team....and that was the only real competition they played other than Boise St.

Any chance UGA gets a split NC?

I'd think that if LSU, the #2 team in the AP poll, beats tOSU, the #1 team in the AP poll, the AP voters would be inclined to vote LSU #1. The problem with the last split title was that USC was already #1 going in.

i think OU has more to gain by beating down WVU than USC has by beating down Ill. plus, as much as everyone agrees that USC is one of hte best teams RIGHT NOW, they are obviously being punished for the Stanford loss. OU nor LSU have losses as bad as that.

If LSU wins the title game, in another close one, and OU steam rolls WVU........then i could see it.

imo, it should be OU and LSU anyway.

What is the whole reason behind everyone's infatuation with what USC has done lately. In their last 5 games, they played one really good team, Oregon, and they lost. Other than that they have played a bunch of average teams. I know Arizona St. was a top 10 team at the time they played, but when was the last time Arizona St. has won a big game? They are always ranked high near the end of the year until they play Oregon, USC, and Cal. Every year they lose most of these games.

the pac 10 took two big hits this year........Cal sucking and Ore losing Dixon. the conf. once again proved out to be USC's show with AZ st playing the understudy.

USC's only real crime is having injuries. Booty played the 2nd half of the stanford game with a broken hand and had like 4 int's.........anyway.......that's how it goes.

USC will roll Ill. and if there were a playoff, thank God there isn't, USC would be the favorite and rightfully so.
