He is a great athlete but at 6'7 he wants to play LB. Maybe we should just lie to him and tell him that then switch him to DE where he will end up playing anyways

He doesn't sound very solid at all to me. In fact, he sounds barely committed

"I never really got out there, so I have to make sure. Michigan State has everything I want, but I just want to make sure everybody else has the opportunity to get me down to their school and try to persuade and convince me. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. If it does, it does."

Hopefully the staff can land this 6'7 bad boy. Big.

Gholston, who plans on graduating in December and entering college in January so he can participate in spring practice, said he plans to visit Southern California, Alabama, Florida and either Tennessee or Virginia, but he has a pretty good idea how things will turn out.

If he chooses to visit Virginia over Tennessee I will vomit :p. If he makes the trip here I think that definitely puts Tennessee's foot in the door. Huge stadium, awesome fans and coaches that are relentless. The article lists him as 6-7 250lbs and wants to play linebacker. That's huuuge for a linebacker. Why not just put on 20lbs and become a defensive tackle. He would have good size and speed for a tackle.

He asked me if I was going to visit Michigan State," recalled Gholston. "I said, 'yeah.' And then I thought he asked, 'if you had a chance to go anywhere else on your official visits where would you go?' Then I told him the other schools I would go to if I were going to go. I wasn't saying that I was going to go. No, because I am committed to Michigan State. I just misinterpreted the question and it came out wrong.

Psssh. He just doesn't want to worry the Michigan State staff and fan base. He let it slip and the secrets out. :) Joking.

His name isn't on the dotted line though and he is taking more visits so his decision is certainly not final.

6'7" LB. Ted Hendricks with bulk. He could be a bigger Mike Vrabel.
