Tennessee's Kamiko Williams was taken with the 15th overall pick Monday night, as the New York Liberty made her a second-round selection in the 2013 WNBA Draft.

Spani didn't get drafted. She will probably sign as a free agent and try to make a team, but I don't think it's likely she will stick. I hope I'm wrong about her not making a team.

She can always go overseas. Many WNBA players do that in the offseason anyway because it pays much better than the WNBA. There are probably many posters on this site who make more than the average WNBA salary.

I loved to watch Spani shoot, just as I loved to watch Bjorklund and Zolman shoot, but all three suffered from the same problem: they were not athletic enough to be good at any other facet of the game, and that was a problem for the team. Spani is a great Vol but she can't defend or rebound or get to loose balls. Shooters who don't move very well don't help you much, overall, in basketball.

Very happy for Kamiko. It was great to see her come off the bench, play to her potential and give good leadership to her team in her senior year. Best of luck to her in the Big Apple.
