First I want to thank the posters for giving me advice and pointing me in the right direction before the trip.

As for the trip we had a great time!!! My son who is a few years from college I think fell in love with Knoxville and Neyland Saturday.

To start the trip off we got behind the Tennessee Caddy. Woow what a sight. I think about 50 people nearly wrecked trying to get a pick of the pimped out UT Caddy. From front to back and on the inside was everything special about UT.

As we walked up the hill beside Thompson Bowling we saw something very cool. Pat Summit Plaza. I cant begin to share how much respect and admiration I have for her. She grew up just a few miles from where I grew up and is a legend.

When we got there we walked around circle park and had some BBQ from a food vendor named "hook up BBQ". The lady said she had been a food vendor for 17 years. It was yummy.

Then we lined up for the Vol walk. This was my favorite. My little girl got to pet the real smokey and was so excited because he was the dog just like her stuffed animal at home. She and my son got to love on him for several minutes and smokey was just taking it all in.

I stepped away from the crowd and took a great pic of Neyland while standing on Peyton Manning Pass.

The last pic was during the game. The seats we had were ok.... I was kinda disappointment with how far we were up for what we paid... but never the less we still enjoyed it.

As for the game.... It was kinda sloppy and really cold but my kids and wifey tuffed it out for the whole game. We were all really disappointment with the outcome but we still bleed orange and I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else.

ITS GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL

Thanks for the kind words. Not winning after we "won" has happened to me twice now. I was at the music city bowl for UNC game a few years ago.

Glad you guys had a good time. That was a rough game after half time with that weather wasn't it? Felt like it dropped off another 20 degrees at the start of the 3rd.

Thanks for sharing. Great to hear everybody loved it! I am looking forward to bringing our 2 oldest with us to Knoxville next year! There is absolutely nothing to compare seeing that sea of orange in person for the first time!

I would suggest going to a warmer game. If u can make it you must goto the vol walk (get there about an hour before it starts or u will not be able to find a place to get). Volunteer village. Circle park. Go in thompson bowling and look around. Hang around after the vol walk and watch the band perform. Gbo
