Win the BCS title and be sanctioned, or stay mediocre?

What would you do...

Call me crazy, but I would take the BCS title at risk. The NCAA can't take the money back or hurt the recognition.

I'd put auburn in that category of going for it.

i wouldn't say they're a mediocre program though.....that would be more for perhaps describing South Carolina, if I had to give an example

If Newton is ruled ineligible, then Auburn could turn mediocre after the NCAA finishes nailing them.

depends on whether or not they themselves were hiding all knowledge of the reality of these things

USC's were so harsh because not only did they know about what had really happened, they lied to the NCAA's face during the investigations and told them that both nothing wrong had gone on and that noone had been involved or knew anything

Yeah, be known as cheaters, kill your program for a decade. Sounds like what you want a college to do. I swear people F'd up in the head.

I guess it was alright to cheat at school too.

please, every school in football does it. yours does too

You have serious problems if you think every school becomes aware of a major violation and doesn't pull the player.

LSU actually paid a player last year by a coach, they were not sanctioned nor even investigate. Why? Go read and educate yourself. Auburn will be the bottom of the SEC for a decade and they will not win a SECC nor a BCSC.

spoken by a fan from a team that has won 2 national championships semi recently. you might feel differently if you hadn't won your conference outright in 50 years (like my team).

I fail to see what that has to do with anything. You certainly won't see Auburn in anything for a very long time. They won't win a SECC nor a BCSC.
