I've recently noticed after my last update that from time to time it seems like my laptop is taking a screen shot. It flashes really quickly and it's happened several times over the last couple of days. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

NSA most likely. Nah really, mine does it too and it annoys me to no end. I only notice it with a web browser open, usually Firefox and I am fairly certain it is taking a screenshot for the frequently visited sites you will see when you open a new tab.

This literally looked like a screenshot though, not a flicker. I just blew Windows 10 away, it had been on here long enough. I usually run Linux of some sort but Windows 10 was pretty decent for a minute, but time to go back to what I like.

I think it was Firefox taking screenshots for the most visited sites you seen when opening a new tab. Not sure, but I am installing firefox on Linux right now and will watch for it here. If not, then yeah it was NSA and they needn't be wasting their time on me!

I wound up calling Geek Squad and they've received a few of these calls since the latest Win 10 update. I'm not exactly sure what he did but the problem is gone.

How much did that cost?

Bring back xp. lol. I do think it was a better version.

I missed XP so badly that after about 3 months with Windows 10 on my office PC last year, I gave up and bought a MacBook Pro.

I have always been pretty anti-Apple. I never understood paying double for their proprietary, over-hyped hardware. Apple folks seemed to epitomize cool-aid drinkers.

But, I was wrong. I love my MacBook! Cold boots in seconds, not minutes...minimal (not constant) OS updates...no need to run ad-aware nor spybot. Over my expected 3 year use, I think the time and headache savings will more than make up for the price difference.
