Just want to shout out how blown away I am by the stellar recruiting efforts of CJH and the crew. They've done a monumental job and it shows! The 2023 class was a definitely solid, but the way the 2024 class is shaping up? Scary part is they’re not even done yet.

We've finally landed a coach who’s not all talk. Yeah, we haven't bagged any major trophies recently (Orange Bowl was significant to me imo), but who else feels like we're clawing our way back to our rightful spot in the SEC?

Getting recruits of this caliber isn't just good luck, it's what's expected of us. We are meant to be in these recruiting battles with the other big programs. This is where the Vols belong.

We have a great shot at finishing in the top 5....or very near there..... in recruiting this year. Do that another couple of years and we are just as talented as anyone in the country. Just as talented, and with a better offensive scheme. Vols are gonna be tough to hang with in the future, even for the big boys if it keeps rolling like this!

We need a good record this year so other programs can't say last year was a fluke.

I think Tennessee, to a degree, recruits itself. We've had three top ten classes from 2010-2022 (and four other classes that were top 15). I know that's not great, but that's also been during a period when we've been mostly a dumpster fire. If the program is winning, top 10 should be the expectation every year, with some top 5 classes sprinkled in.

Yes, Tennessee does sell itself to a degree. I often wonder how in the world did Pruitt convince some of those good players he had to come and play for him. I would imagine it had a lot to do with the history of Tennessee football rather than his "stellar" personality.

I agree with you. But note as our recruiting fortunes rise Clemson's begins to fall by the way side. The same relationship is true of Auburn and Georgia. Whoever wins the recruiting battle between those two progresses anead. It's sort of a strange thing I've noticed through the years.

No way it was the cash we were giving them. No way.

Orange Bowl is absolutely a significant trophy after the 15 years of misery. Seemed completely out of reach for all 4 loser coaches until Heupel comes in year 2 and dominates recent dynasty Clemson. It wasn't like we got matched up against some flash in the pan or g5 team. In 2025 and beyond that will be a playoff victory.

Yep those vols wore little nickie out last year. He threw everything at UT offense and couldn't stop it. Hope it happens again this year at turd but will have to beat them and the bummer goon ref squad. Go Vols.

One of the many talking heads on YT was talking about how CJP is "stacking talent". And how, last season, Georgia beat us because of their stacked talent (depth, as we usually call it). On to say, Tennessee is DYNAMITE, fixing to explode, and how we will be a team to be feared. (This post is light on content, but, it was fun to type!)
