My brother broke his clavicle in a cycling accident. His doc told him he could go on without attempting to repair it, and he elected to do so. So far, he’s not complaining, but his mountain biking days are done. He’ll gravel path and road bike some, but no more mountains.Didn’t see the injury but hopefully it is that. I’d rather have a broken clavicle vs almost other number of shoulder area injuries. Should be a pretty easy fix.
I work in surgery and you might be surprised at the amount of orthopedic surgeons that mountain bike. Every surgeon I know that does, has also broken their clavicle lol. I’ve done some road and plenty of gravel biking. Don’t know if I’ll try mountain biking though. My brother broke his clavicle in a cycling accident. I mountain biked a lot when I lived out west. Downhill could be pretty scary.I work in surgery and you might be surprised at the amount of orthopedic surgeons that mountain bike. Some of the gravel biking I’ve done has step enough downhills for me. I can’t imagine trying it on a mountain but maybe someday when I need to do more for rushes.I mountain biked a lot when I lived out west. Downhill could be pretty scary.
